Great stay with a very welcoming host. Lots of wildlife nearby made the stay special for us and our young son who loved seeing the horses, rabbits and wild donkeys! Nick was a great host.

We had an amazing experience spending the weekend at Unhitched Ranch. Nick and his family were beyond hospitable and our kids had a great time playing at the playground, and with all of Nicks pets. Beautiful views, beautiful campsite & an amazing experience all around.

We had a fantastic weekend camping at the Unhitched Ranch. Nick and family met us at the gate of the farm and took great care to make sure we had a great time. We had a group of 4 parents and 7 kids who wanted a weekend away from from LA and the opportunity to experience life on a farm. Nick took the kids on many trips to explore the farm and his family showed us around the barn and the kids met plenty of animals. Camping was easy - There's water by the camp site and a fire pit. The bathroom is a short walk to the barn. Nick gave us plenty of suggestions for other activities nearby. We ended up driving 10 minutes away to the Fiesta Village Fun Park - it was a great way to spend the afternoon. We'll definitely be back.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience at Unhitched Ranch! The accommodations were great, with a big flat area for our trailer overlooking some of the corrals, water and electric hookups, the lighted pavilion with table and chairs, and fire pit. It made it easy for us newbies! The ranch and setting are absolutely beautiful and feel a world away, even though it's conveniently located. We enjoyed exploring all day and then watching the sunset and city lights from the campsite while eating s'mores. My son couldn't have been happier petting and feeding all of the animals, playing tetherball and horseshoes, and using the playground. Our hosts, Nick and Audrey, were friendly and helpful. Nick made sure we got set up and even helped us dumped our tanks at the end, and let my son feed the chicks and even drive the golf cart (both highlights for him). Audrey answered endless questions and gave the kids rides in the wagon driven by the Clydesdales. It was definitely one of the best camping trips we've been on, and we're looking forward to our next visit!

It’s like a little piece of heaven on earth!! Our family goes there to rejuvenate our minds and bodies from all the craziness in this world. It is so peaceful and relaxing with nature surrounding us. The beautiful scenery with horses and other life is surreal. We love it and go as often as we can. Nick, Audrey and their boys who own the ranch make the experience even more wonderful… they are like family to us!!! It is our favorite place to RV, can’t wait to go back.

I can't say enough good things about our stay at Unhitched Ranch. Audrey and Nick are wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Our power cord wasn't quite long enough and Nick brought us an extension. I definitely would not hesitate to come back and look forward to visiting again.
What a treat to get to wake up to all the horses. We saw some wild burros off in the distance and heard them quite often. Nice area to wander around and go for a nice walk and see even more animals. Beautiful views!!!

Absolutely phenomenal. This is the kind of place you would keep to yourself except you want the hosts to be so successful because everything about them is wonderful and kind and giving. Incredible land, best possible hosts and just an absolute blast for our family. We look forward to being back there soon.

Beautiful location and camping spot. This is a working horse farm where they are often training the horses near your site. Fun to watch and tour around the place. The host family are all really welcoming.

Good clean place to stay with nice accommodations. My wife and I used it as a travel stop between dry camping locations. Conveniently located off I-10, (and other SoCal freeways) nestled in the hills with nice view of city lights below. Very friendly and accommodating host. It rained during our stay, so we spent most of our time relaxing in our trailer trailer.

Absolutely gorgeous setting! Our family stayed for one night while traveling with a trailer from out of state with our 2-year-old daughter. The site was perfect to accommodate our trailer and had a covered area with a table and chairs to enjoy meals outside. Our daughter adored the beautiful horses and we also saw some unique chickens. The hosts were very welcoming and it's clear they care a great deal for their land and animals. We hope to visit again!

The campsite was nice and owner was friendly. Watching the horses and exploring the animals on the rest of the property was fun. Our daughter also loved playing tetherball, horseshoes and petting the friendly dogs. Visiting Unhitched Ranch was a memorable and unique experience.

Wow! Unhitched Ranch is an unbelievable hidden gem. Our two young boys had an absolute blast from the minute we arrived — roaming free, visiting with the gorgeous horses, watching the wild burros, playing on the swing set, collecting fresh chicken eggs…the list goes on. Unhitched Ranch is our home away from home!! We absolutely love going there and love Nick, Audrey and the boys who own the ranch. It is so peaceful and relaxing and you feel like you don’t have a care in the world when you stay there. We have been to the ranch now 5 times over a two year period and anyone that joins us loves it as much as my family does!! The hospitality of Nick and Audrey is amazing and they are just awesome people who don’t hesitate to help if we need it! I would recommend to anyone who loves the outdoors and serenity to visit Unhitched Ranch! You will be so happy you did!!!

Nick and Audrey are always amazing to stay with! The ranch is beautiful, it's like having your own private getaway. And Nick and Audrey are two of the nicest people we've met!
Nothing can compare with waking up hearing the horses walk out in the mornings or the evening city lights view by the fire. Can't wait to come back!

Such an amazing trip! We just purchased our first trailer and this was our first outing ever which was our first First Hip Camp experience. Horses were the stars! Enjoyed Audrey and Sebastian’s hospitable kindnesses with such knowledge it kept a smile permanently on my face. A tour around the grounds, help with parking, awesome views, friendly pups, beautiful Texas long horn cattle, a true peaceful getaway.

We had a great time over the Thanksgiving holiday. Nick and his family were incredibly welcoming and encouraged us to visit and play with all of the animals. The camping spot was great and the evening views were to die for. We will definitely be back!

This is our second time visiting Unhitched Ranch and we will be back!
Unhitched Ranch offers a wonderful experience to us and our 8 year old son who is very much a city kid. Attentive hosts. Beautiful land. Amazing horses. Many farm animals. Clean bathroom in the barn with hot water. Quiet camping spot with a table, fire pit, water and electricity. Picturesque swing at the top of the hill.

We loved our stay at Unhitched Ranch! The weather the last weekend of October was perfect! The trailer site with covered patio, picnic table, fire pit, full hookups, and access to a very nice bathroom in the barn was everything we needed and more! It’s a working ranch with animals, workers, tractors, etc noises, but that was part of the fun! The wagon ride pulled by Clydesdales was the cherry on top! We can’t wait to visit again!

Nick and his wife were fantastic hosts and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. The property is easy to get to and I loved how they only allow a single group to stay there at a time. Meaning, besides areas where they are working, you're free to roam around the property and see everything it has to offer. Beautiful Clydesdale horses, a nice city view at night and small hikes around the property. I was glad they had both a normal electric outlet as well as a specific 30A connector for my RV. They also allowed me to use their water connection. The patio area was really nice and we made good use of the fire pit with wood we purchased from Nick. I highly recommend the Unhitched Ranch.

Where do I start?
First the Ranch was easy to find and the RV space was easy to get to. Backing in our 32’ was a breeze. The camping area was well groomed, the artificial grass was a nice touch. Helped keep the RV clean inside and was comfortable to walk on. The gazebo with chandelier was very comfortable and the shade made the heat more bearable.
Okay now to what really counts for our family. Our daughter uses a power wheelchair. It’s always a surprise wheat we’ll encounter, but Unhitched Rancho was great. She was able to get into the bar without and challenge. Able to enjoying meeting the horses and explore around. The roads were well maintained and the quality of dirt and the density is something we always worry about. Unhitched Ranch was a breeze for her to go around independently without major bumps or obstacles.
The owners are very very nice. Alway made sure we were okay and mentioned they are only a door knock away if we needed anything.
We’ve RVed at other places with the general public, but RVing at a private place without traffic all day. THE BEST! We didn’t have to worry about our kids running around.
Not sure if you can ride horses cause we didn’t ask, it was not something we were interested in.
If you want a quiet stay with live animals, Unhitched Ranch is for you. We will defiantly be coming back. Just in a cooler month…our AC asked up a little.

What an amazing and fun place to spend a few days. We were greeted by the Burros as soon as we drove in. Nick and his wife welcomed us to their grounds with a smile and open arms. Unhitched Ranch is a hidden gem and we felt very privileged to stay at their ranch and see their day to day life tending to their Clydesdale horses, longhorn cattle, pigs and their lively rooster.
Nick and his wife were so gracious to share what they have built and their love and passion for what they do. Bless their hearts. Thank you for your attentiveness and making us feel so welcomed.

We can not speak highly enough about how Nick and family treated us on are stay on there beautiful property. Nick was very hospitable and made sure we were having a good time at all times.. we would recommend that anyone should stay at unhitched Ranch. If they were on a star point system it would be a 10 out of 10 .The property is very beautiful and Nick will give you a tour and show you around the property and so you can see all the animals. It was a privilege and because the way we were treated we will be going back soon.

We have stayed at many farms and this one is by far the cleanest and best kept. Nick and his family do an amazing job keeping this working farm in park like condition. They went above and beyond to include my boys in their chores. We spent a lot of time in the barn (by choice) and my boys learned so much. They cannot stop talking about all the things they did and learned. Thanks 🙏 to our hosts for a beautiful campsite and all your time (and the eggs!)
