Surrounded by towering firs, fresh mountain air, and incredible night skies, this is the perfect place to relax, unplug, and enjoy nature. Spend your days exploring nearby trails, enjoying the quiet mountain atmosphere, or visiting the famous Palomar Observatory just a short drive away. The campsite is also close to Cleveland National Forest, offering access to hiking, scenic drives, and outdoor adventure in every direction. Whether you’re pitching a tent, sitting around the campfire, or waking up above the clouds with a hot cup of coffee, this campsite offers a simple and peaceful outdoor experience away from the city. Perfect for campers, hikers, couples, solo travelers, and anyone looking for a quiet mountain escape under the stars.Guests will have access to a spacious private campsite with plenty of room to spread out, relax, and enjoy the peaceful mountain setting. The property offers open camping areas surrounded by tall fir trees, giving guests a sense of privacy and seclusion while still being easily accessible. There is space for tents, outdoor seating, hammocks, and gathering around the campfire while enjoying the fresh mountain air and star-filled skies. Guests can easily access nearby amenities by taking a short drive into the local Palomar Mountain community, where they’ll find the small local general store, restaurants, and convenience stops. The campsite is also within driving distance of outdoor attractions and scenic mountain roads. For activities, guests are conveniently located near hiking trails, nature walks, scenic viewpoints, and the beautiful Cleveland National Forest. Camping Above the Clouds
We stayed here for Father’s Day weekend it’s a great base station for the area. Host was available when we got a little lost and was available if needed the entirety of our stay. It was quiet and we enjoyed our visit to the property.
