The land was gorgeous, quiet, and easy to find. Deidre was helpful in leading us to our site. The location was great for heading into Joshua Tree NP the next morning.

Great setup, the guys and I joked about it being glamping because of the flush toilet and outhouse, which were awesome.
Very understanding host and all around great outing. I would suggest it to someone looking for a close entry to the park and town and not looking to spend a ton.

Pipe's Canyon Camp on the Mesa
The camp has been such a nice surprise:
A beautiful spot to admire the desert sky!
Deidre was an amazing host: she replied to all our messages, kept us posted on weather conditions and gave easy and clear instructions to find the location. She also allowed us to use a bigger campsite with electricity and water, since it was available that night.
The camp is pretty big and you can enjoy your space with table, chairs and fire pit.

This campsite was perfect!
It was nice and quiet. The bathroom amenities were very convenient.

Deidre was very helpful in providing directions beforehand. The campsite is very clean. I was impressed by the bathroom! Most places only offer a porta potty but the bathroom there is so clean and it has a sink too, which makes a huge difference in my stay! Highly recommended!

A great bare bones campsite underneath the desert sky.
Deidre was a wonderful host, she quickly replied back to all my messages and gave clear and easy to follow instructions. The camp location was easy to find, and the dirt road leading there was in good condition. The campsites were spacious and had several options for where to set up. Each campsite had some chairs and a table as well as a fire ring. Luckily their wasn't any wind so we had a nice fire in the evening. The "Outhouse" was a short walk, roomy and spotless. It had a flush toilet and a sink. There was a faucet on the backside of the structure for all your water needs. All the campsites were far enough away to give you some space.

I would definitely recommend this site to anyone! It’s near everything and right by the park. That outhouse/restroom was a plus!

Perfect travel trailer (or RV) spot. Easy to get too (though there is a ~5 min unpaved dirt road). Close to town. Quiet. Bathroom is clean and nice. Easy hookups (hose and 15A outlet). We'll definitely keep this place in mind next time we're around the Yucca Valley / Joshua Tree area.

Deidre was very friendly, and getting to her property / the sites on the property was easy! The flush toilet and sink made the experience super pleasant for those who are less accustomed to wilderness camping. Despite being nestled in between several other properties, we felt nice and isolated under the stars. We used this as an overnighter to get to a show at Pappy + Harriet's, and it was perfect - not too far, not too close. I think I will make this a regular stop!

We had a most relaxing , serene time as we tried to see the perseid meteor shower. a little clouds but still quiet and wonderful. A nice respite from our city life in Long Beach. And the temperature at night was much better than we anticipated - actually was cool. Deidre was very accommodating and helpful and we would stay there again

We stayed there in our 30 ft. RV and had a wonderful time! The chimneya and picnic table were great additions and the electrical and water hook-ups were much appreciated.
The outhouse was like an optical illusion! Somehow, it seems twice as big on the inside and is decorated to relax and welcome you.

The campground is very nice and convenient to visit Joshua Tree. Unfortunately, it was extremely windy when we were there, so it was hard to sleep in the tent.

Awesome spot! Really clean, nice outhouse with running water, and super close to Joshua Tree. Deirdre was super nice when we chatted on the phone- we arrived after sunset, so it was a little bit of a challenge to find the spot. Overall great experience.

This site is AMAZING!
Each site is equipped with a table, chairs, and fire pit.
The bathroom is also amazing with a flush toilet and sink.
Definitely worth a stay if you want to visit J Tree!

We had such a great time at Deidre's place. Two roomy tent spots with plenty of space for our travel trailers, one in each spot.. (Ours are smaller trailers, I would message her to double check if your rig will fit.) No hookups on these spots, but she has a separate listing with electric to check out if you needed it. Some dirt roads to come down off the main street, but hard packed, not sandy. We just took it slow with the trailers. Nice view of the nearby hills and big open sky for stargazing. It was an easy drive into JT national park to take some photos at sunrise at the Cholla Cactus Garden. The little outhouse bathroom is perfect, clean and cute, with a flush toilet and sink. We will definitely come back here!

This was our first Hipcamp stay and first time using our RV. We had a great experience! Deidre is a super great communicator...she answered our questions promptly and let us know when anything changed (weather, garbage day, etc). The property was easy to access both in and out. Great location to JT and surrounding area.

The site was gorgeous, with Joshua trees silhouetted against the sunset as I arrived. And the bathroom situation was lovely. But the winds were insane -- 30mph steady, with harder gusts. There was no wind break that I could hide my tent behind, so I ended up sleeping in my car (I've had tent poles snap in less crazy conditions). I can't blame the host for the weather, but it would've been great if there was something that could be done. There was an old shipping container, but the ground was too uneven for a tent on its leeward side. Just check the weather before booking!

Great spot for our trailer. Water and power hookups were easy. Deidre was an awesome host. Bathroom was super clean and a nice extra. We ended up extending our stay 4 nights. Verizon LTE was 30 up and down for you remote workers :)

We loved staying at Deirdre's hipcamp. The property was lovely and we had a beautiful and well equip site. Table fireplace water and electric all there. Also the restroom is super charming and clean with nice touches.
Great location in the desert - close to Noah Purifoy's Outdoor Art Museum which should not be missed.

Our stay was lovely and I would definitely return! The site was easy to find and Deidre was communicative from the start. There is a nice little table with chairs and chiminea, as well as a super clean/cute bathroom. It’s off the road but I would still say pretty public/not that dispersed (just something to keep in mind). We enjoyed how close it was to town because we picked up food and wine, and it was easy to get around.
A stunning sunset and even better sunrise sealed the deal. I’d love to come back.

Deidre was very quick to respond and help out as needed. Easy access to Joshua Tree and convenient RV hookups at our site. Nice amenities such as a picnic table and fire pit (which we didn’t use due to wind and cold in December). We had the place to ourselves, but this would be a lot of fun with a larger group because sites are close together.
