Amy studio is perfect location for our needs. East access to hiking, beaches, Santa Barbara downtime, as well as the cruise over to Solvang, my dog loved the property. Shower hot , bathroom all outside but clean and functional. It’s is more of a glamping experience, beautiful seating area feel like your in the wilderness and close to stores, groceries and could make it a wonderful camping experience. Her host neighbor was helpful in getting us situated and provided useful information as well insight on the property, yes highly recommend, enjoy, cheers…

Studio 108 ~ Goleta ~The Goodland!
I'll preface this review by saying that we are both avid campers, and welcomed the idea of sleeping in a studio apartment with outdoor facilities. We read the post and reviews thoroughly and packed accordingly. I will say that the inside of the studio is lovely. The bed was comfortable and we slept great.
Unfortunately, the outdoor facilities lacked cleanliness and the beautiful outdoor furniture in the pictures had been stowed away and covered. The sink was dirty enough that we would have felt more comfortable if we had brought our own wash bin, soap, and sponge. The plates and cutlery were also filthy since they were stored outside. Spider webs covered everything- In order to turn on the sink, empty the bucket below, use the toaster oven, or even enter the toilet/shower, you had to put your hand in a multitude of spider webs. We are both accustomed to composting toilets but this one seemed to be leaking slightly from the bottom and sitting on it for only a few minutes left your body touching it moist. We were also expecting a little more privacy for the outdoor shower but found that the multi-story house across the street would have no problem seeing us when we opened the door.
All of this to say, we agree we would have been far more comfortable just finding a campsite instead of having to rely on these facilities that lacked cleanliness and privacy- especially considering how much it costs to stay there.

This site is exactly like described. It is near Santa Barbara and reasonable. You can have up to four people with you. The shower is outdoors and so is the toilet but both are blocked off and private. Very enjoyable morning shower with the sun hitting you outdoors. The hosts are friendly and shared homegrown fruit and homemade fruit roll ups. Even though it says noise restrictions start at 10 PM there is a fire pit to use and chairs for you to sit outside past 10PM as long as you keep the noise down. Beautiful night sky and temperatures to enjoy the evening at a great rate for being this close to SB. Parking in the house driveway is very convenient and safe. Enjoy your stay here.

The vibe here is fantastic! The studio is clean and comfortable with a friendly, high vibrational atmosphere.
The garden area is full of lush plants, fruit trees, and flowers.
The outdoor shower has heat (with clear instructions on how to turn the heat on) and the composting toilet is easier to use than I expected.
The location is super convenient to UCSB.

Amy’s land is a cool glamping experience where you’re tucked away in a little oasis with a comfy bed while just 10 minutes away from Isla Vista. The compost toilet and outdoor shower were simple to use. Despite being connected to the main house, we felt like we had total privacy. We didn’t cook while we were there but there was also a camp stove available to use and mini fridges in the room.

What a special place. Amy has put together a magical spot with everything she lists in the post + so much more.
All the facilities/amenities are great and clear directions are provided. Bed and sofa are very comfortable. It’s super quiet and the garden area is beaut and relaxing. Amy is a great host and we’d love to stay again, and recommend to any respectful campers.

The room and bed were very comfortable. My dog Penny liked the place too. I liked how it truly was like glamping with the outdoor shower, toilet and cooking area. Neat little garden- very Zen like! Convenient location right off the highway!

Amy was very responsive and helpful with providing directions/tips for making the stay as comfortable as possible. The space itself is beautiful, especially during the mornings when walking around in her beautiful garden, and has many creative sources to draw inspiration from. Wished I could stay a little longer but would highly recommend for anyone visiting/in the area and is artistically/creatively inclined.

Everything you need! The outdoor shower/bathroom and kitchen area is more secluded than I anticipated. There is a back door by the bed that allows you to go from the bedroom to the outdoor kitchen and I felt like I was all on my own. Of course, I also felt I could ask the host for help at any moment because she was often home. Amy was super responsive and helpful whenever I had a question. Great wifi, comfortable bed, super quiet and beautiful location. I stayed here for a little personal getaway and went to Haskell's beach which is nearby. It was a beautiful and quiet beach. Overall great experience and would stay here again!

Amy was kind and welcoming. The place was spacious yet cozy. The outdoor amenities were nice as well. The only issue was that the power to some of the amenities outside wasn't working, but it wasn't a big deal for me. I would recommend this place!

Amy's property was a great fit for us. It is basically suburban glamping. And she did a great providing a calm pleasant space within a suburban environment. In some ways, her space-- which includes a comfortable bed and other nice furnishings within a converted garage-- could be considered a money-saving alternative to AirB&B. But I would advise prospective visitors not to expect an AirB&B experience. There are some definite quirks to staying there, such as the outdoor composting toilet and camp stove. But if you have experience camping and come with reasonable expectations, you are likely to be as pleased as we were with our stay on Amy's property.

This was a great overnight stay. I loved the “hippy” vibe of the studio, to include the decor and the many books! The bed was also very comfortable. Garden is nice for one or two people but not many seating options for more than that if you were wanting to hang outside with a group.
I never ended up figuring out the shower (I think the propane tank was empty), however the host was incredibly responsive and helpful! (And there was a full propane tank there to replace the empty one, but I didn’t feel like messing with it)
Also the entry to the studio faces the entry to the main house, so it’s very close proximity to the owners. This wasn’t a problem for me at all, and they never disturbed me, but if you’re looking for seclusion, that was lacking. Overall, would stay again and would recommend to anyone!

We loved staying at Amy's studio! It was perfect for our needs of a comfy place to sleep while exploring the area. We felt very welcomed and like we could ask for any help we may have needed with the outdoor accommodations. Remember to bring a towel! We forgot ours :(

Amy’s place was just what we needed! The rain had other plans for us enjoying the outdoor space, but the proximity to town and the freeway were perfect and Amy has thought of all the things you might need during your stay! Great communication and easy-to-follow guidebook.

Super nice and clean place to stay!
The bed was very comfy. You get the whole spacious studio to your self. You don't have to interact with the host either.
Amazing deal and I would stay here again even if it was more expensive.

This is a great location and the “studio” was well kept and fun. Amy is great. We were there during a record cold snap so we weren’t able to enjoy the garden too much. We had a lovely time in spite of the weather.

Amy's place is terrific! Gorgeous garden, tons of space, comfy couch and bed. It's an incredible value for such a great area, close to the beach, well stocked market across the street, in a cute neighborhood for a walk. Remember you booked on Hipcamp, not Airbnb, so bring your own towel and enjoy the outdoor facilities.
