Welcome to Sabrina‘s Cat Shack! We have worked hard to create a new experience like no other. A unique urban camping experience, close to all, and one you will certainly want to tell your friends about! Enjoy some time alone or sleep with your honey right next to your very own waterfall! Yes, a waterfall! It is our pleasure to provide all of the creature comforts that you could imagine including a heated outdoor shower underneath twinkle lights and a portable toilet nestled under a mandarin tree.The cat decor will hopefully make you smile as well. We provide two electrical outlets to the site, including USB ports and a waterproof extension cord, and lighting inside the tent. Note that the wooden chest opens as a cooler. The canvas glamping tent sleeps two comfortably and seats about 4 to 5 during the day. (Note that it does have a pole in the middle of the tent). Bring your sleeping bag! We offer a darling chimnea fireplace that is also a pizza oven - perfect for small pizzas or s’mores! Wood and Duraflame logs are provided. Camping site sits behind a single-family home with a private side entrance. Gated bike parking available. Site is elevated with plenty of space, peek sunsets, and ample privacy between the main home. Neighborhood is about a half a block away from Old Escondido. What makes us different from any other rentals is our close proximity to retail and restaurants. You can have it all! Local attractions include the California Center for the Arts, The Grand Comedy Club, The San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Good Omen Mead, and the original Stone Brewery. There is something to be said for just driving or biking around Old Escondido and gazing at the darling historic homes. Don’t stay out too late, however, you will want to enjoy some evening time under the twinkle lights under the pepper tree back at “home”. We can’t wait to have you stay at the Cat Shack! Please, no guests under the age of 12 due to safety/stairs, etc. Note that the entrance has a fairly steep driveway and is not considered ADA accessible. Wi-fi codes issued upon check-in. Valentines Getaway!

Glamping site with tent provided!

I loved the urban camping experience at Sabrina’s. The hosts were so nice and accommodating, the amenities were easy to use and the site was designed beautifully. We loved how cozy the tent set up was. We went for Valentine’s Day and the gorgeous outdoor shower and campfire was the perfect romantic getaway.
