Escape to Rock Creek, a peaceful retreat tucked into the oak-studded hills of Santa Ynez. With eight spacious campsites for RVs (no hookups), our property offers a rustic getaway just minutes from the charm of Santa Ynez, Solvang, Los Olivos, and the region’s best wineries. We are also walking distance to the popular Chumash Casino Resort that offers not only fun gaming, but year round concerts and entertainment, dining options, lounges, and a luxurious wellness spa. We are proud to be a Star Host and strive to deliver a great experience to every Hipcamper that stays with us! Rock Creek provides plenty of space to unwind and enjoy nature. Wake to birdsong, sip wine beneath wide skies, and spend evenings around the shared community fire pit. Rock Creek is a welcoming spot to escape, unwind and reconnect with the land — and each other. Site Features and Amenities: • Eight large campsites for RVs (First come, first serve) • Drinking water available on-site • Picnic tables at each site • Community fire pit (season permitting) • Pack-it-out trash policy – help us keep nature clean • Pet-friendly – dogs welcome on leash (max 2) • Easy, level access for RVs (no hookups) * Contact host Tom Carlson if you are interested in group bookings or small event optionsRock Creek Campsites offers a laid-back escape near beautiful oak trees and a seasonal creek. We have eight campsites, each with its own picnic table and plenty of space to relax. Guests can enjoy the communal fire pit and the unique charm of a few vintage trucks around the property. Water is available on site. There is also a 24 hour mini-mart next door, which offers firewood, coffee, beer, wine, etc. We are walking distance to the Chumash Casino Resort - with fine dining, lounges, concerts, spa, as well as a variety of gaming options. ** NOTE ABOUT NOISE: The campground is located just behind our custom door and cabinet shop, Valley Oak. You will hear a dust collector during working hours (M-F 7am-4pm) but weekends are quiet and peaceful. There is also a carwash at the neighboring gas station, that includes a blower for drying cars, which can be heard from the campsites.

Both Tom's were very easy to work with given our spur of the moment camping trip! The registration to getting access to the camp site took less than 1 hr on a Saturday afternoon. We had the camp site to ourselves and would go back next time we are near Solvang! A hidden gem! Bring what you need and it's only a few minutes from downtown! 5 star!

OMG!!! I am SO EXCITED to have found Tom’s beautiful property at Rock Creek!! We love the Santa Ynez Valley and this spot is perfect to experience wine, golfing, biking and amazing cuisine. Beautiful quiet spot tucked behind the rolling hills. Doesn’t get much better…. and we will be back A LOT!!!

When we first got there, Tom greeted us right away. He was very sweet and accommodating. He told us about all the local spots around town. We just purchased our trailer and didn’t realize the batteries were bad —Tom offered his generator to us because of our predicament. That meant a lot to us and allowed us to use our refrigerator, lighting, etc. Aka actually enjoy camping. Such a lifesaver! The site itself was very clean and had some shade. All of your basic necessities are close by. It was exactly what we were looking for.

We had a delightful stay at Rock Creek. It’s a lovely, small, private campground with 8 spaces. The location is fantastic. We walked in the charming town of Santa Ynez and did a little shopping and had a delicious brunch at the Pony Espresso. We absolutely recommend it!
