Redwood Paradise Camping
My wife and I loved staying here! It’s just outside Santa Cruz surrounded by redwood forest. Eli and Julia met us right as we pulled in (even though it was well after dark) and gave us a full tour and helped us back our teardrop trailer into place. As close to town as this campsite is, it’s very quiet and private. There’s an RV toilet for campers to use that is very clean, as well as drinking water. The campsite has a nice picnic table and benches. Overall we had an excellent stay and would love to stay here again.

It was great super private and clean. The toilet was a plus especially for my 7 year old. Very close to downtown Santa Cruz and beaches.

Beautiful space on the outskirts of Santa Cruz with the most amazing and warm hearted hosts. The tent space was really large with a private table and bbq, along with very cute fairy lights. The back garden of Eli and Julia’s House was available to use, and we had a really fun evening by the fire with them. When we arrived there were good recommendations for the area, including food places.
The beauty of this place was that it was close to nature with the wonderful red woods over looking the site, as well as deers and lots of different birds. However, it was also close to the city with all the amenities you would need! As well as the Santa Cruz board walk (which is a lot of fun!).

Julia and Eli’s place is amazing! Even though it’s super close to town it’s still off the beaten path in a beautiful wooded area. We loved our stay and enjoyed hanging out with Julia and Eli by the fire one night. They are so hospitable and kind. We can’t wait to come back!

Eli and Julia were kind, fun, and accommodating! Their property is beautiful and in such a convenient location (close to town, yet forested and secluded). We wished we had longer to explore the surrounding area, it was so peaceful. Thank you for being so great! :)

Eli was very kind and showed us around his property. This place is great for those looking for a place 5 minutes outside of town to put down a tent as they explore Santa Cruz, and Eli has built a nice rustic picnic table that isn't shown in the pictures. However, this isn't quite the wilderness experience the photos and description make it out to be. For those camping with young kids or looking to spend a lot of time at the site, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. There's a large rusty metal structure adjacent to the site that isn't shown in any of the pictures and much of the ground is crumbly concrete. Would be great for a surf trip for adults, but I don't think I'll be returning with the family.

Elia and Julia were amazing hosts. Super friendly. The place is very private. You are as close to Santa Cruz as you can with still being in the redwoods!

It was like camping in the wilderness but only a short drive from town. Enjoyed our 3 nights and would come back again!

Eli and Julia are amazing hosts! They joined us for a camp fire and showed us around their beautiful property. It’s tucked away and quiet. Plenty of room to move around and set up. I’m definitely looking forward to crashing here again.

Private area with a picnic table and fire pit. It was very peaceful and we felt safe. There isn’t running water; instead the hosts leave filtered well water for campers’ use. Toilet is RV style. Overall, we spent a very peaceful and private night here.

Eli and Julia are absolutely so nice. They do everything to make your stay comfortable as possible. They are such genuine people. The stay was nice and the camping area is perfect. This spot is much easier to access to and from Santa Cruz than a lot of other camping in the area. I suggest staying here if you plan on hanging out around Santa Cruz.

Just stayed for one night but the level parking was very helpful since we camped in our car. They let us set up our stuff right on the platform instead of the designated camping area (a few yards away) which was very nice of them.

Eli and Julia are wonderful! Such friendly and welcoming hosts. Their backyard is a beautiful camping oasis, feeling far from the bustle of town while actually only 15 minutes away.

We stayed at Eli and Julia's property during a rainstorm and it was so awesome! We really lucked out that they offered us not one but two barns to hang out in. They were really thoughtful even offering their home to us for a movie night. They let us do what we wanted and we couldn't be more happy about it, I would definitely stay there again.

My girlfriend and I had an incredible stay at Eli & Julia's place. The camping space is really special- a private grove flanked by redwoods, a creek, and a barn. We spent time chatting with Eli by the campfire on the patio, he is a lovely person embodying the notion "Adventure Bravely." This property is awesome- good vibes abound and lots of care was put into making the campsite a welcoming and unique place.
