A relaxing place to enjoy the peace and serenity of the area. Wake up to a chorus of birds while the sunrises over the forest. Stay up enjoying the 360 degree star gazing.
The property is located east of Occidental in a unique "banana belt" along the USDA 9a/9b climate zones, inside the "Green Valley" Sonoma wine appellation, on a quintessential country lane.
Originally settled and farmed in the early 1900's by a family of Italian immigrants, from who the lane is named.
One acre is our family compound, two acres are forest preserve, and the other two acres are the orchard - where the Hipcamp sites have been integrated.
The orchard has many different fruit trees including heritage Gravenstein apples that were originally planted by the family from Italy. The apples are ripe from late July to late October. The orchard borders a forest with old growth Redwoods, Douglas Fir, Bay Laurel, Oaks, and Madrone. Some wildlife passes through the orchard, especially birds.
The location offers access to a charming walk on a beautiful country lane and many hikes nearby that we can recommend. We highly encourage visiting for the Spring bloom in April and May for a temperate tropical experience.
A two minute drive to Occidental, and a twenty minute drive to the beaches of the Sonoma Coast and the Russian River. A great location to explore and enjoy nearby small towns, wineries, dairies, hiking, bicyling, surfing, kayaking, and farmers markets... or just relax at the site, make a picnic, and bask in the tranquility...

This campsite offers a serene and peaceful escape surrounded by apple orchards, making it a favorite for many returning campers. Guests often highlight the quiet ambiance and the beauty of waking up among fruit trees. The location is praised for its proximity to activities like mountain biking and visits to nearby towns, though some found it initially challenging to locate due to unclear signage. Overall, the site provides a relaxing retreat with the convenience of water and power hookups.
our second stay at this property. Stayed here last Fall as well. Great property very well located close to many activities. Comfortable, quiet, beautiful location.
We enjoyed our stay in nice apple orchard. Space 3
Very quiet and secluded, met nice people camped by us!
Initially did have Some difficulty finding camp ground, not very well marked off narrow road. Passed location and had to turn our RV around on very narrow road.
We absolutely love this place! We’ve enjoyed staying at the apple orchard so much that we’ve become repeat campers and have come back many times. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and such a special setting for an RV stay. There’s something wonderful about waking up surrounded by apple trees and having all that quiet, open space around you. It has quickly become one of our favorite places to stay, and we always look forward to coming back. Highly recommend!
Cool private spots in an orchard like setting just a couple minutes outside Occidental. We were just there for a quick overnight, and would like to come spend a couple nights and explore the surrounding areas more. We were able to have dinner on (windy) Bodega Bay and be at our campsite in 25 mins and enjoy a nice evening there.
Great place. Very peaceful. Host was quick with responses to any questions. I have Verizon and I had 1 bar reception. Took a nice bike ride Saturday am. Beautiful scenery
We absolutely loved our stay here! The apple orchard setting was beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly quiet—such a special place to park our RV and relax. We would happily stay here again and hope to return!
Site #3 was the perfect spot for a two day rest stop on our trip. It was surrounding by orchards that provided ripe golden delicious apples to enjoy straight from branches. It’s quiet and off a low-traffic road that I could walk the pups along. The hookup were nice to have in case but we didnt end up using them. Would definitely stay again.
We had a very relaxing stay at Joseph’s apple orchard Hip Camp. Very quiet. We enjoyed nearby Occidental and walking down the road. We saw deer and quail!
We were visiting family in Santa Rosa which was a beautiful drive down a variety of country roads! We also enjoyed a visit to Bodega Bay about 20 minutes away.
The orchard's ambience stood out to us. Apple trees and low-growing blackberries surrounded our campsite (#3). Joseph was accommodating and is helpful when you need him. There were two off-leashed and well-behaved dogs on the property. II highly recommend this camp if you want peace and quiet.
MUST: Follow the directions to get to the place or you'll learn the hard way.
We love the quiet privacy of this Hipcamp. Our grandchildren had fun marveling at all the apple trees in the magical, vintage orchard that surrounds the 3 spacious campsites. The electrical and well water hookups were a big plus.
Spacious sites and nice cedar mulch keeps the area nice and clean!!
No stress among the apples offering peace and scenic views..
Will look forward to my return!
Every year we come to Sebastapol/Occidental to visit our youngest son and family. I believe this was our 3rd or 4th year staying on Joe's property. As always, it is truly a restful and wonderful stay. Joe is always so quick to answer our questions and help in anyway.
Yes, I highly recommend Rancho Laslendini for your HipCamp stay. Any of the 3 sites are great, but our favorite is site #3. Thank you Joe, and see you again in 2027.
Lovely property- on a quiet road just minutes from Occidental. Fruit trees added to the charm- August was the best as the Gravensteins and blackberries were at their peak! Plenty of space between the sites. The only downside is not having the ability to dump gray/black water; but, water and electrical hookups worked just fine. Joseph is super responsive too, if anything were to come up.
The land has 3 trailer parking sites with 30 amp hookups. The land is a beautiful spot in an apple orchard. It was quite and well cared for. A great place to relax and decompress!
Very quiet, private , and flat campsite for our small RV. We had a few of their apples and they were delicious. Very cool spot, close to the town of Occidental. Union hotel has some of the best pizza I’ve ever had.
