There aren't enough good things one can write about Nan and her farm. The location was superb and made exploring nearby state parks and trails very easy. The campsite itself was just right, with a drive-up rock road (for anyone with 4WD as I do) and is outfitted with just what you need. The farm tour is a must and the savvy move is to ask what's on sale afterwards, you won't be disappointed. A magical place in its own right so savor your time there when you visit.

This land is pure magic! You can feel it from the moment you drive in. Nan has created something truly special and worth experiencing through her cultivation and care-taking of this land. Beautifully maintained, organized, and tended. Wish we would have booked a farm tour to get to know the place even better!

Nan’s Hipcamp is just wonderful! We stayed in beautiful site #1 for one night, then returned two nights later, and stayed in #6.
The property and campground are lovely, with solar lights illuminating the paths, and fruit trees, flowers, and berry bushes. We loved seeing the goats near our site.
The porta potty was fairly clean and very appreciated, and the communal cold-water sink was great, and conveniently located.
The stars at night were gorgeous!
This is a very well-set-up, absolutely lovely Hipcamp, and we would definitely return.
Special thanks to Nan and the guy working on her property, for providing our car with a jump start, and saving the day!

Forest Sanctuary - Campsite #4
Our family enjoyed tent camping at spot 4! It was very private - looked to be the most private of all of the spots. The wooden chairs and stool were actually a really wonderful surprise! Did evening and morning walks with the kids to see the horse, goat, blackberries, and tried to find the chickens. Honey Bucket was very clean and we appreciated the drinking water faucet. Thank you!

We loved our stay at the property. There was a lovely sink, trash can, recycle can, and a bathroom with toilet paper. The directions to get to the property were simple enough, and checking in was super easy; my husband and I are planning on remembering this location in case we need to stay again.

Site #4 is perfect for two people, maybe four if you are close. Tour with Nan was the highlight! Sink, water and chemical toilet were clean as convenient. Location to Occidental and Sebastopol and surrounding area was perfect for a short weekend trip to explore the area. Bummer no fires allowed, but we get it.

We had a wonderful time at Rainbow’s End Farm and would certainly return. Nan gave our family and another group a tour of her farm and the kids got to go in the pens with ducks, goats, and chickens. My daughter collected eggs for the first time. Nan shared copious plums and blackberries from her garden. She was generous and kind.
The campsite itself was great. There was a flat, shady area for the tent, a table and chairs, and a great short redwood hike immediately behind the campsite. The porta potty was fine and there was a place to wash dishes and get potable water. As we’d been warned from other reviews, the roosters were noisy before daylight but they were easy enough to ignore.

Redwood Nook with Sunset Views #1
We had a great visit! The campsite was a great size and we loved the trail leading to the redwood loop. We appreciated access to the sink and water and the fresh fruit there was such a nice touch! It was amazing to see all of the stars at night. Close to Occidental and a drive to the coast. We would definitely love to stay again!

We feel SO lucky we stumbled upon this place. It has really clear signage. Our site had lots of privacy. There was a picnic table and really nice wood seats.
There is a BEAUTIFUL walking trail on-site, where you walk under the redwoods, definitely a highlight of the trip.
The port a potty was really clean, and there was a sink to wash dishes and hands.
I can't imagine a better place to relax and take a break than this one!

Sacred Fire Ring Group Campsite #3
Lovely campsite for our group of 5. Very thankful that this site is located underneath the trees which made for a private stay and shelter from the heat. A short trail is available by the campsite for those interested in a walk.

Nan's farm is a very nice land. The campsites are great and nicely kept. We had an 8 person tent and Campsite 4 was a bit too small for us. I would say this site is perfect for a 4, or maybe for a 6 person tent but anything bigger would be a little hard to set up and the tent will be a bit slanted because of the slope. If you have a large tent (8 person) choose campsite 3 if it available. #4 is the most private site on the property and a nice trail leads from it to the private redwood forest. Restroom and the sink is easy to find. The place is very kid friendly. There is also a cute little town near by. My family had a great time here. We would gladly go back.

Beautiful, peaceful stay at Nan's farm. We loved camping next to the goats and redwoods. We were easily able to visit the Russian River and Shell Beach/Pomo Canyon hike. Would definitely come again!

Great big site. Lots of room. Close but not right next to other sites. Site 3 is also a ceremonial spot, so we really felt good everyday there. We did have an incident on the hiking trail. We got stunk by Yellowjacket’s. We had to hike up the mountain to avoid an angry nest. Other than that and the crazy rain, we loved it. Great basic amenities and truly a lovely place that I will come again.

Really lovely campsite, private, quiet. The sink and soap provided is very helpful. We had a tour with Nan and she is so warm and welcoming. Keep in mind it’s a farm— so there are roosters crowing in the morning! :)
Totally would return to Rainbows End!

Awesome to wake up next to goats, birds, and roosters. The sink and potable water were helpful and convenient. Josh suggested a great trail that was a few miles away, provided easy communication, and made adjustments for our campsite situation since we reserved two spots and wanted to remain at the first site since most campers had left. Priscilla was a momentary joy and welcomed our pets and belly scratches.

We had a nice stay after going to Bodega Bay for the day! It was quiet, especially at night. Nan stopped by to say hello and talked with us for a bit. Very nice lady. Open sky out in the parking area so lots of stars at night!
The area is due for weed maintenance, and Nan seems aware of that.

The rainbows end farm is a magical place. We loved the campsites, access to a trail on the property that takes you on a beautiful walk in the redwoods. We also loved the farm tour, meeting Nan and Miles and trying the jam. It was so delicious we had to get more. Highly recommended!!

Enchanted Forest - Campsite #2
Had a great experience at Rainbow’s End Farm! The sink and toilet were both tidy and near all of the camping sites. We stayed at Campsite #2, which was well shaded and comfortable for four people. The site was also connected to a trail loop that was great for small dogs and took about a half-hour. Would definitely come back here!

Meadow View - Car Camping Site #6
We loved camping on Nan's farm! All 6 spots looked lovely. Ours (#6) was perfect for a trailer and, while close to the very small parking lot, felt very private and looked out over a field that often had 2 large goats grazing in. Spot #5 would also accommodate a trailer and appeared even more private with a long driveway. The port-a-potty was very clean and the sink for washing up was a really nice perk! Everyone we encountered, other campers and farm residents, were so friendly!

We enjoyed camping here!
The sites are set off into the trees and would be perfect for tent camping. The tent sites themselves were beautifully treed and private. However, we were in an RV and so had so stay in the parking lot. This in comparison was less private, and cars would drive/park nearby, and people would walk next to us. This wasn’t ideal given our RV situation.
The site itself has a nice sink with potable water, perfect for hand or dish washing. The portapotee was right next door too which was convenient.
The site overall is situated in a beautiful area, through vineyards and on a farm. This definitely felt special.
Overall, not an ideal RV camping scenario but would definitely recommend if you are tenting!

Forest sanctuary #4 is very private. Access to water and the Honey Bucket is easy. The site is well maintained and level for a tent. The chairs and small table are a nice touch. I would recommend this site as a place to feel like you are away from it all without being to far from town.

My family had a great time camping here. The highlight of our trip was taking a tour of the beautiful farm with Nan. She is a wonderful person and we feel lucky to have left with such special memories.

We had such a perfect camp out at Rainbow’s End Farm. I highly recommend taking the tour with Nan! She is inspirational and full of knowledge as well as very nice. We made camping “friends” with the people in the next camp and everyone we met was so nice! Even all the dogs are nice. It truly is enchanted and I think site #2 is the best site with just the right amount of shade and space to lounge around.
