Wood Chips Site 4-7-26
The location was easy to find on Google maps. I chose this location because of its proximity to San Jose (I wanted to take my little granddaughters camping without having a huge drive and it was 20 minutes from home!) I made the reservation 1 week prior; it was fairly easy.
As we drove in, the first thing we saw was the big wreath as a landmark. I reserved the “woodchips campsite” because it looked big enough to fit my large tent and vehicle. We were very glad, because we also had shade under the trees! The location is super-peaceful and a good view, too. We were confused at first because we originally thought our campsite was the picnic table behind the wreath (there was no room for our tent) but then we noticed the white sign identifying our campsite – thank you for that!
The picnic table was large and long but the wood is old and splintery, so I recommend bringing a table cloth and perhaps another cloth to cover the bench part where you sit down.
In the evening, we walked the short distance down to the pond and noticed what might have been another campsite on the side of the dirt road, photo attached.
This is a “no services” location so you must pack out whatever you bring. No toilets, running water, garbage cans / fires allowed but the picnic table was definitely appreciated as we have been to some other Hipcamp locations that did not have that . This place is good if you need a place to sleep. Very Peaceful.

We had an amazing time at the Christmas Farm . Listening to music - dancing with my partner ! Our little girl Sierra loved it too— Running around the Christmas trees over at our camp site . We will definitely be back soon .. Thank you for having us 😊😊😊

Great little spot. Not secluded, but for the price and for a night, beautiful, clean, felt safe. My spot had a picnic table and a large tree I tied my pup on a long leash too. Kids playing on the road wasn’t a bother to me at all. No one seemed bothered by my pup. Quiet at night. Thank you!

I made a last minute stop here over the weekend, and it was a perfect spot to get away from the busy town and get some peace and quiet. The directions were easy to follow, and i was able to find my spot and setup in the dark with no issues

The spot was just what we needed for quick overnight. The only thing I would say is that someone was already camped in our spot, so we were in a different once but it all worked out.

This was an amazing stay!! Literally the cutest place. We only came the for night and left early in the morning to go surfing but we wish we stayed longer. Very quiet and clean space with just enough privacy. Will definitely be coming back :)

It is quiet, safe, easy to find, and you can tell the land welcomes nature minded. Even in the waning sunlight, the photos really helped me know I was in the right place.

This is a busy tree farm and tree service company with a lot of early morning heavy truck traffic. Parking a trailer was a bit difficult and getting out was very hard. Looks like a nice stay for vans and tents and easy access to water and power, but this was a no go for me and my 23ft Lance trailer. Did I mention that getting out was hard? Like really hard!

Peaceful stay 30 minutes from the city, morning commute to Newark is ideal. Host is responsive, it's a dry camp situation. But all and all I've enjoyed the tranquility of birds and views of the stars.

This is a sweet place but none of the spots are private. I stayed at the wood chips spot which is probably the most private of the three. However there is a RV that looks like someone lives there directly behind the camping spot so there was really no privacy at all. The other two spots are also pretty much right on top of each other. If privacy is important to you I wouldn't recommend staying here. It's also very loud, as other reviewers have said there are loud trucks all morning and day. I probably won't stay here again but for 20 bucks, if you just need to spend the night, bring some ear plugs and enjoy an inexpensive and sweet place to stay.

Location was easy to find, campsite was clean. Water and power available for a fee, I didn't use either so I'm unsure on quality. Midday and night quite and peaceful. Trucks/cars workers start coming in around 7am gets a little noise. No restrooms. Closest toilet is about 10 minutes away or more definitely bring your own. Overall it was what was advertised no issues others showed up during the night but I didn't even notice till woke up. Will stay again with a camping toilet this time.

What a great stay! We arrived at night and found our spot easily. So grateful to have water and electric access. Would have stayed longer but had to keep moving. We would definitely return. This felt private and quiet considering the proximity to the road.

Great little spot for a safe, sweet night camping. There was water nearby and a portable bathroom. The spot is big enough for a car and tent/rv. Early morning wake up with trucks driving in for work, but all in all would recommend!

So convenient to Santa Cruz area! I just needed a safe and quiet place to car camp. Beautiful to wake up to all of the Christmas trees in the sunrise. 🌅 I truly can’t wait to come back!

Great peaceful spot. Nice scenery, it’s a great affordable option. Summit Store is only a 5 min drive away and has porta potties and good food options.
