This quiet wooded property sits at 4,200 ft. , it sits high on the ridge between the south and middlefork of the yuba river. 45 minutes from nevada city, Just a 5 minute drive to "the saddleback" a local view point,with amazing views of the milkey way every night, Its a skywatchers dream during meteor showers ,eclipses,and auroraborealis. Explore bloody run creek with its numerous waterfalls,or malakoff diggins state park,a presrved historical gold rush ghost town with a museum,and the Blair lake for fishing. Or head to one of the many beautiful swimming holes on the yuba river, the property is 7 wooded acres and a beautiful seasonal spring feeds severel small ponds until the end of summer. Bring your pets kids,dirtbikes,quads,metaldetectors,goldpans, and any other backcountry toys. And enjoy the wilderness,.Guests will enjoy this private forested spot with flat area for bigger groups, can host groups upto 20 people and 3 r.v.s. right beside shaded spring fed icy cold pools,guests must be fully contained and remove all waste.

The photos were not accurate at all. It was a dirt road to a sketchy open gate. Two abandoned building that were very very creepy and nowhere to pitch a tent. Very strange. I didn’t feel safe at all.

30 ft truck camper · With pets

The host was communicative and helpful in the lead-up to our trip, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, our experience once we arrived didn't match that, and we ultimately decided to leave without camping. The entrance gate appeared locked with no instructions on an alternate way in, so we drove around the property looking for another entrance and ended up at a dead end next to a neighbor's scary junkyard — very close to the camping area and not a comfortable start. We later went back and discovered the padlock was actually unlocked; a heads-up about this in the listing or arrival instructions would have saved us the detour. Once inside, we drove up the hill and had trouble finding a flat, clear spot suitable for camping, even with just two vehicles (a truck and a Subaru). The property has two structures, both in rough shape — graffiti on the walls of the main and standing water inside to half built second structure. Between the junkyard mix-up and the state of the structures, we didn't feel safe staying overnight. It's disappointing, because the host's responsiveness suggests this could be a good spot with some updates — clearer gate/arrival instructions, a defined camping area, and some cleanup of the existing structures.
