Last Chance Creek Campground stands out as a hidden gem in Northern California, offering families a unique blend of natural beauty and outdoor adventure near Lake Almanor. Nestled in a secluded area, this campground is conveniently located where Last Chance Creek flows into the stunning Lake Almanor, renowned for its picturesque scenery and diverse recreational activities. In the spring, nature enthusiasts can spot white pelicans that inhabit the lake, adding to the area's charm. The campground features 12 campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis or through our online reservation system. While there are no hookups, visitors will find a double vault toilet for convenience. For larger groups, Last Chance Creek Campground offers three spacious campsites that can accommodate 30, 40, or 60 people, each equipped with a fire ring, barbecue, wooden storage cabinets, and picnic tables. The campground also provides piped water and vault toilets, ensuring a comfortable stay. A minimum two-night stay is required, and guests can enjoy amenities such as a horseshoe pit and a volleyball area. Additionally, horses are welcome in the group campground at sites #13-25. Please note that bear boxes are not available, so it's essential to secure food in your vehicle with windows closed to keep wildlife at bay.
