We visited this campground in November, definitely the off season. It was pretty much as described. No camp host. I was not that impressed. It was definitely old, sites were not kept, etc. It might be better in the middle of summer.

We enjoyed the quiet camp ground as we were the only campers there. Nice to have water and sewer hook ups and flush toilets. Could use a little maintenance and cleaning. The location is good for the parks. Our 27 ft trailer worked ok in the space. It’s a camp ground no lodge.

We had such a wonderful stay! This camping spot is perfect for couples — peaceful, private, and surrounded by water hook-up from all around the site. We loved being able to relax in our tent, enjoying the scenery. Toilets are nearby and made the stay even more comfortable. It would’ve been nice if there's shower rooms, but honestly, we’re not complaining — everything else was fantastic. We’ll definitely be back!

This campground is in an amazing spot on your way down into Kings Canyon. It’s right off of the road near a “caution ice cream ahead” sign. We stayed in our RV and didn’t use any bathrooms, sinks or anything like that so I can’t speak to those, but it did the job, which was provided us somewhat close campsite to the Roads End lot & hiking area; I highly recommend the Mist Trail btw. Also, I would recommend the campsites that are across the street (same campground), I think it was sites 6-9. We walked over to check out the river, but didn’t want to get into anyone else’s campsite. Site 5 isn’t my favorite as it is right next to the road & I woke up to cars driving by. Only drawback were the trash cans. They weren’t animal/bear safe, and there was trash on the ground surrounding the trash cans, which we chalked up to animals in the area. I would recommend & stay again. Also, I appreciated the Wi-Fi in an area that has no cell signal.

We loved our time here. I recommend one of the group sites if you’ll be tent camping. More room for activities and some of them come with a covered area over the provided table. The bathrooms were clean and the sinks near the camping area was a nice plus!

Lovely quiet spot nestled in the canyon. Not convenient but definitely worth the winding drive. Nice bathroom facilities (no showers, but flushing toilets) and just the right size to keep things intimate and manageable. Really loved it. Thanks for the great location!

Site 5 - Rv Space Camp site
We had a great experience at Kings Canyon RV Resort! The instructions were clear, and the area was absolutely beautiful. The location was perfect, and we loved seeing the wildlife that came right up to our camper—it made the trip even more special. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely be back!

Had the most amazing time! Close to the bathroom which was a great surprise as it looks like a port-a potty but is a clean flushable toilet. Site 9 is quiet and private and has an easy access to the River. The water was cool and refreshing after some long days hiking. Definitely a hidden gem and one I’ll be returning to.

Beautiful place in a valley, sinks for washing dishes etc. Nice flat tent camping, clean bathrooms with sinks and mirrors. Tent camping across the street, big open space with right amount of trees. Great ride from the park entrance all the way in.

Site 4 - Rv Space Camp site
Great little quiet campsite at the top of King’s Canyon. The host was friendly and informative. You can buy drinks, coffee, and ice cream at the stand there as well as gas which is very limited in the 2 parks.. Bathrooms were clean and sites had picnic tables and fire pits. I would definitely use this site again.

Great place to stay. Facilities were great. Location was perfect. No need to worry about bears which is a plus. No complaints! Would deff stay again!

The location was great and not crowded! The views were perfect and we were visited each evening by a family of deer which made it all the more magical! I would love to book again in the future.

host was on site when I arrived on Friday evening the spot I had booked didn’t work for me but it was easy for me to get a different site very cool place with interesting history right on the main science route through Kings Canyon NP and not too far from Sequoia NP very clean bathrooms and lots of water stations, ice cream shop, ice for sale, gas, WiFi I would definitely recommend

The campsite was really pretty, calm and such a fun drive to get through definitely going back! Restrooms were amazing beyond expectations and the water supply came in handy for dishes and rv connections. 10/10

I absolutely love this place! All the deer hanging around, the grass is always green and it’s so clean! This is our second year back and we plan on making it again next year! The bathrooms are super clean and there is running water! There are RV/trailer hookups as well which is nice!

Camp 9 was excellent because of its proximity to the stream and a summer dip in the waters. Also appreciated the excellent bathroom that looks like a porta-potty but is not - it has a flush toilet and a sink to wash your hands. A water tap was near the camp, too. I was heading to Roads End in the park for a hike the next day, and I'm glad I chose this camp because I arrived late in the afternoon and left early the next morn. There's not much shade, and it could get hot middday in the summer.

Everything about this spot is perfect if you love peace and quiet. This was our second trip here and the host had added more bathrooms and sinks to clean up your kitchen kits. I cannot recommend this spot more. If you have a hankering for some ice cream this place has it! Gas, wood, and ice available at this spot too 🏕️ it also has a private river spot to relax and cool off.

I enjoyed the open grassy space with shade and picnic tables provided. Mobile bathrooms were handy but having sewer available for the RV was appreciated. WiFi worked very well the vast majority of my time camping. The ice cream, ice and firewood were closed during our stay. It’s a great place to mix along with the other campsites during a prolonged stay in the park.

Great companion site to site #9 if you have extra guests. Simple clean site with simple (and clean) bathroom set up. Nice easy campsite in beautiful location, Kings Canyon rules.

Great campground in the heart of the park! Mike is a great host and made sure everything was comfortable. Great ice cream too. Stayed in August so it’s hot during the day, but cools down at night with some winds
