It was as described which in of itself was a blessing to us‼️Cute, charming to say the least ! We r huge HipCamp fans. We turned all tech off & enjoyed the many windows & Beautiful Nature & Serenity all around & light with only nature sounds about & a family of 5 deers lol ‼️Too cute‼️We xmas shopped n Victorian Xmas a lovely town with kind people ! Sky was clear & full of bright stars cold but comfortable weather a lot of walking which we love n hiking together. 👩❤️💋👨
Lovely owners! Real people if u understand 🧐me?Ck it out we will be back! We even got lost their neighbors kindly drove us to the Magic Hut! It was dark & parking is a lil tight that was r only issue with r big truck just when we had to bck out of the driveway or a u turn .Its all good. So NO worries & tech left behind at home we get reacquainted with each other & nature here at Beautiful Nevada City👏We ate in town +ice crème at the wonderful TREATS desserts ,had a campfire 🔥 bck at. MH with s’mores & enjoyed each other 🫂💋♥️ ‼️Peaceful & Tranquil ! We recommend 100% giving this Hipcamp a try! I bet u will return again & again ‼️♥️👍🏼🎅🎄🙋♀️PS
We came in the fall r heater was great. We’re warm n 10 mins .They had some lighting sufficient however , if u needed more for good reading bring ur headlamp-battery operated lights etc…Space was sufficient for the 2 of us! HAPPY2024 fellow hip campers & vbro’s 🥳 We found out their neighbors have a beautiful place on “VRBO” website we will try this Summer we live n Reno!!!!👏👍🏼JR

Quaint, private, great host. Perfect to reconnect together on a short weekend trip. Hut was well built with fine craftsmanship. Warm enough with propane heater inside. Kitchen area and compost toilet were a great addition to a camp-like experience.

I like to think of this less like a shack/hut, more like a mini-cabin. The construction was great to admire. It’s built to last and we enjoyed finding all the craftsman details. Like the steel fasteners and notched boards that connected at various angles, and thought out texture and placement of the windows. The space feels open, given it’s small stature. It’s thick open beams brought warms to the space. Super cozy just for two.
The hosts had very clear instructions. The one challenge I had was parking. It would be easier if one little tree on the side wasn’t there, lol, then backing in wouldn’t be so tight. But we got it 😁👍🏼
I loved not having electricity, and we obstained from our phones despite the good cell signal. It gave us a chance to talk and reconnect.
The big window in the morning let in the perfect amount of sun to wake to. Then we headed right down the road to commercial street in Nevada City for breakfast. I’d recommended this stay. Add it to your list.

We love simple cabins like this. No electricity, very quiet, private, dark at night. Yet convenient and close to town. Very cute cabin inside. There is a sink outside, but we would've loved to have an outdoor shower available as well.

We utilized this lovely stay for a day of hiking and coming for somewhere to rest our heads. Not extremely private outside, there were neighbors but never a problem.
Sink, outhouse and of course a place to sleep we enjoyed.

This little cabin is absolutely lovely. Close to the owners house but still private and very well kept. The magnet screen door works great to keep the bugs out. Having running water was a total bonus. With the recent heat, I was supremely grateful for the battery-powered fan! The walk to town was really nice, going past some interesting homes. It does take a solid 15 minutes but it was great to stroll and not have to park. Saturday was a great farmer's market in town, which was a lovely surprise. Truly in love with Nevada City now and will be back!

I loved staying here - so cute and cozy in a great area close to Nevada City. We came here after a day of climbing and enjoyed exploring downtown (which is walkable!) and the trails nearby. Elena and Catherine were super communicative and great hosts.

The cabin was awesome! It was the perfect mix of comfort and being in nature. We really enjoyed the nearby hiking and lots of bird watching. We even saw some cute bats in the evening! I would definitely return to this spot for a charming weekend.

I loved the stay at this magical little hut. My boyfriend and I went for his birthday to getaway for a night, we walked the 1 mile walk into town for a romantic dinner. I highly recommend!

What a gem of a place! I will be back to Honeycomb Hut. I loved everything about it, I wouldn't know where to begin. From the convenient outdoor sink and very clean outhouse to the cozy indoor space with a fireplace and seating. You even have a place outside to sit and have a fire. And they provide firewood for a small fee!
I kind of want it to be my little secret so I can hideaway whenever I want :)

It was an amazing stay, super clean and comfortable. They helped us set up the bon fire and stepped out at night to make sure we are all good and having a good time. Very private and safe, highly recommend.
Tip: Carry your own water, be prepared for no light outside it was super dark at night so recommend carrying extra lights.

We really enjoyed our short stay for New Year’s Eve at the honeycomb hut! It was clean and exactly as advertised. The land surrounding it is beautiful. The hut was definitely chilly at night but the small stove helped a lot. Elena and Catherine were responsive and helpful. We hope to return for a longer stay in the future!

Another wonderful stay at Honeycomb:) we were just in time for the snow and came during the Victorian Christmas in downtown Nevada City which was magical! Perfect spot to stay for a weekend getaway!

The Honeycomb Hut was a terrific escape super close to Nevada City. We were able to enjoy the Victorian Christmas celebration in town but there are events here year round. Despite the icy rain the cabin was cozy and inviting, with everything we needed nearby. Definitely recommended.

Honeycomb hut was amazing! Despite the cold the cabin was cozy, the heater kept us happy. Elena & Catherine were very kinda and responsive. We made friends with the 4 deer that came by to say hi. The cabin was well taken care of and clean, we really appreciated the clear attention to detail that hosts took to make our experience great :) 10/10 would stay again even in the cold and the rain.

Great little cabin. Went during the rain and it was still great. The heater inside is extremely effective. I would recommend this place in the snow, rain or sun.

Loved my stay here! It was the best place for an alone time. As a single woman, I felt safe. There’s still a fire ban and so no campfires. Would love to come back!

Hello! This weekend I celebrated my birthday at this wonderful cabin. It was peaceful It had a large window with a beautiful forest view. At night you can see the moon and stars. I loved it was perfect. The hosts were very attentive and welcoming always checking in with us making sure we were ok. I recommend it if you’re trying to get away from the busy city life.
