Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home at some sites—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
We have owned our 20 acre ranch for 12 years. We enjoy the peace and quiet and beautiful views surrounded by oak trees. We love hiking down to the river. Very private; seldom do you come across other people. Amador brewing, Solid Ground brewing and the world famous Poor Reds are about 30 minutes away. Learn more about this land: Renovated guesthouse on 20 acres in the gold country. 1900 feet elevation. 30 minute hike to the Consumnes River, with beaches and swimming. Great sunrises, sunsets and stars. Mountain biking available. Rock outcroppings for climbers. About a 30 minute drive to numerous wineries and the foothill towns of Plymouth and Placerville. The kitchen has a vintage stove with four burners and two ovens, microwave, toaster oven, and sink.  You will also have access to a full size refrigerator. Outside is a propane bbq with two side burners for your use. There is one bedroom with a full bed and in the living room is a trundle bed that converts to two twins. We have installed hardwood laminate flooring throughout guesthouse; some of the pictures show the prior cement floor. There is wifi, Verizon and At&t get good reception.  We use our phones for internet and streaming.  There is a 50 inch TV and dvd player. Bring your own hardware/cords if you want to stream from your phone.   We have goats  if you would like to feed or with. My wife and I live on the property in a house about 200 feet away. You will have as much privacy/interaction as you desire.  Our garage is attached to the guesthouse,  so I may need to access it occasionally during your stay.  We also travel so you may have the property to yourself. We do have two dogs on the property. The Australian healeris very friendly. The Anatolian shepherd is a watch dog so he will bark at you upon arrival and then settle down and leave you alone. You may hear him barking at night at any moving wildlife (deer, turkey, etc.). There are two cats living in the attic of the guesthouse, which may or may not bother you if you have cat allergies. My wife has cat allergies and the cats don't bother her.  The last 4.5 miles of the drive to the property is on a winding road.  Please drive carefully.

100% (3)
Bell tent · Sleeps 2
Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. We invite you to enjoy the rugged nature of the Cosumnes River and Gold Country from your own glamping paradise in the foot hills of El Dorado! Historic towns of El Dorado and Plymouth are a 20min drive. Shenandoah Valley, home of many top wineries, is a 25min drive. Great stargazing. 40 minute hike to the Consumnes river. Peace and quiet. Gold Country Glamp Out is an oasis of calm located under a giant Oak tree providing shade all day. The Property Owners live at the other end of the 20 acre parcel and may wave as they pass by on the shared driveway. No homes are visible from the glamping site adding to the feeling of seclusion and quiet. A small country road is visible about 100 yards below the site, so you might see an occasional car drive below. At around 1800 ft elevation the location does not get snow fall but does over look the Cosumnes river valley and enjoys views of wine country to the East. The tent is the Lotus Belle Outback Deluxe equipped with 2 doors and 2 windows for maximum ventilation (screens on all openings keep the bugs out). Inside sits a queen sized luxury memory foam mattress. There also is a fold out twin foam cushion Large center pole LED makes the whole tent glow while battery lanterns are provided for movement in and out of the tent during darker hours. Utility cabinet in tent houses the Goal Zero Yeti 500x portable power station (charged via 100w solar panel). This system supports the shower pump, charges phones-lights-tools. Connect to the tree mounted bistro lights for a romantic evening outdoors! The cabinet also houses a large tupper washbasin containing all the plates, cups, utensils and cast iron skillet. A full sized propane BBQ grill is at the site so making burgers, dogs, and grilled veggies is a breeze. It also has a side burner to heat the Coletti Bozeman Coffee Percolator for your morning brew! An outdoor shower is perched mere steps away for your exclusive use during this glamping adventure. The solar shower pump ensures great water pressure while the CampLux water heater delivers hot water on demand. The shower is large enough for even the vertically gifted Glamper or two to shower in the trees with all of natures sights, sounds, smells and feels! We had a great time at the site, Ric was an amazikg host. We never seen him, but he was always just a phone call or text away and always very helpful. The site was very nice, I hadn't been camping since I was a kid so it definitely was a newish experience for me but all the amenities were perfect, we ate good using the grill and the utensils provided. There is a road nearby, so you do hear cars drive by and see lights every so often, with the occasional person passing by. But for the most part very peaceful.

Meteor shower camping
This glamping site was a great time for me and my two guests to enjoy a meteor shower! It had everything we needed to be comfortable, which made it a good taste of camping for my sister’s first time. The addition of the hammock, grill, and shower were lovely. Based on images, we were expecting the site to be inside the property where there are farm animals and more privacy from the main road, however the site was on the side of the driveway so it wasn’t the best location. Regardless, we enjoyed our time and it was fun seeing the deer pass by our site.

Serene with stunning views.
The land and views were spectacular. The house was quite cozy, yet spacious. There was walking access to the river, which was quite beautiful. Overall the setting offered a serene experience. The host was very friendly and helpful and the goats and sheep were fun to engage with. The doggos were adorable, but could learn some manners yet around excessive barking on occasion. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and would recommend this house as a lovely place to stay.

Blissfully quiet
Thank you Ric for a perfect end of summer getaway. It was just the right mix of laziness and a bit of exercise hiking back from the river. We felt right at home and enjoyed the animals as well.
