Dust Cloud Ranch is a peaceful 10-acre rural property located between Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo, near Santa Margarita and Pozo, offering a quiet country camping experience with easy access to both towns. If you’re looking for open space, fresh air, and a laid-back country vibe, this is the spot. ⸻ The Campsite • Camping is on the side of the property with a giant sycamore grove. • Large picnic table under the trees. • No electricity at the campsite. • No direct water hookup, but spigots are available around the property (not for drinking). • Easy access through a gate for tents or RVs. ⸻ Animals & Pets • We have four goats, seven cats, and a gentle Great Pyrenees. • If you have pets, they’re welcome, but please keep them under control and respectful of our animals. • Guests are welcome to stop by and say hello to the goats — they’re curious and friendly! ⸻ Fun & Activities • Plenty of space to roam and explore. • Small track for casual adventures. • A few flags set up for hitting golf balls on the property. • Early stages of development give it a natural, open, and unpretentious charm. ⸻ Facilities • Plumbed outhouse on the 3-acre side available for guest use. ⸻ Nearby Adventures • Turkey Flats OHV Recreation Area – 10 minutes • BLM land – 10 minutes • Santa Margarita Lake – 15 minutes • Margarita Adventures – nearby • Santa Margarita town – about 30 minutes ⸻ Safety & Etiquette • Working rural property — uneven terrain. Watch your step. • Fires are OK in a permitted ring when conditions allow (not during dry season). • You may hear farm animals, wildlife, and neighbors’ livestock — part of the rural experience! • Pack in, pack out.
