Desert Dome Getaway
Great for pets! Awesome host!
Perfect for dogs! My pup had the most fun! He explored the spacious property by himself and since there was a fence around the camp, we felt safe in the middle of Palmdale desert. It rained hard most of our stay but our border collie didn’t get muddy & crazy dirty because of the desert soils. Plus, there was a water hose outside the dome. The hoomans had fun too! We stayed mostly inside the dome since it got windy and rained hard during our stay but when weather was better, we got to watch a movie with projector setup just outside the dome. It was 40 deg but the patio heater and campfire warmed us enough. Plus for us: Cozy bed Steaming hot shower Flush toilet Grill Projector and Patio heater Loft bed with direct view of the stars Lights Board games Quiet but felt safe with cameras around Dog friendly! Great for biking or ATV Tip: We recommend checking the weather first before booking but host made our stay special anyway and made the most of our 3 day stay.

Anniversary Trip
My wife and I wanted to get away from the city and have some alone time for our anniversary and stumbled across this camp site. It had everything we needed and was away from everything and everyone. We visited the Kill Bill church which was about 11 miles from the camp site and got the full history of the church and had our pictures taken in front of the church and at the altar by the pastor of the church. We did not get to use the outdoor projector due to wind and rain, but that have us time to play some trivia games provided in the done and cuddled up and watched a movie on our phone.

Unsafe campsite :(
We felt very unsafe, and had to leave this site immediately. The neighbors right next to the site (which looked like a junk yard) charged at us in their jeep and on foot upon arrival. The road to the site is a whole mile of unkept road, which damaged our tires. You also can’t use the projector as pictured because the area is too windy for it. The inside was an average clean, and the toilet & shower weren’t working - we were notified of this close to arrival. We really appreciated the host booking us last minute, even though the site had a same day booking option. She also helped navigate us to the site because it’s very confusing. We feel a full refund would’ve been appropriate, but we are grateful we at least got a partial refund - however, we spent a lot of money on this site. There were several security cameras there, but that didn’t help us feel any safer. We had to drive another hour to find a decent place to stay. I would avoid it here, but perhaps if we went during the daylight, it would’ve been a better experience.
