Very nice campsite. We stayed at the far west draw site, and it was perfect. If it’s hot, absolutely get the tepid pool. I was unsure when I booked, and it was well worth it. Great host’s, beautiful desert vies a and sunset, will book again!

The cabin had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves for the weekend. Loved the trails, outdoor grilling and also the 24/7 shop they have. Would recommend and stay here again👍🏼

Absolutely loved our stay at Cuyama Badlands! The landscape is stunning—rugged, remote, and peaceful with jaw-dropping sunsets and crystal-clear night skies. Perfect spot to disconnect and enjoy nature. The campsite was well-maintained, with plenty of space and privacy. Great for stargazing, and just soaking in the positive vibes. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a unique and serene camping experience!

The site was lovely, spaced out from other people with a gorgeous sunset and great stargazing. It was windy when I drove in, so Jenny let me switch to the lower sites. I love the shade, fire pit, and outhouse set up. A great spot just north of the Los Padres Forest.

Draw Camp in the Far West
This camp is amazing. Everyone had a great time. The stars were amazing and the hosts were gracious. Would highly recommend.
*One note: the camp overlooks the farms in the valley. The night we were there, one of the farms had some industrial equipment running ALL night. Bring some ear plugs in case your visit coincides with night farming.

Always love staying here I think 2 is my new favorite site, there were other campers present but it was fairly quiet. There is a small shop for things we need on site, views were amazing we always love staying here there’s never anything to complain about!

Over Memorial Day Weekend, we stayed at Draw Camp in the far west and everything was perfect. We arrived at the ranch, immediately stopped by the main house, and met friendly Jim & Jenny. At the main house, they had plenty of wood + a stocked "Shop" with ice, food, camp gear... pay by leaving cash in jar or use Venmo. We ordered the "tepid tub," which was totally worth it. The toilet is a little far from this camp (esp in the dark) so you may want to bring a portable toilet with privacy tent. The picnic table is covered by s wood structure and we pitched the tent so it was in shade at times. A bit tight with the table in the center, but we managed to hang 2 hammocks. The site came with 2 lounge chairs & a large garbage can, plus potable water tap all to ourselves. Sunsets were incredible, as were the coyotes howling at night. Just note that people tend to watch the sunset near this site & can be in the way of photos. We saw all sorts of birds including a parade of quails.
We originally booked this site for Valentine's earlier in the year & were able to cancel 24 hours beforehand due to a storm. Jenny was so understanding. They also send a fab email before arrival with a ton of useful info, links for things to do... we ended up never leaving camp :) Jenny was incredibly responsive through the app through both reservations for Valentine's & Memorial Days, then once on site, she was helpful, communicative, and just great. Thank you so much. We'll be back for sure!

Draw Camp in the Far West
We loved our stay at Songdog Ranch! We booked the draw camp, the most private site. Beautiful sunset views and great accommodations. The shade structure and fire pit were wonderful. We did see a pretty sizable rattlesnake - but we knew that was possible and always keep our dogs on leash. So much wildlife to enjoy while hanging out by the fire. We will definitely be back

This was the perfect spot to take our dogs camping for the first time. There was plenty of space for them to roam around and have an absolute blast. The tepid tub was key for us and the dogs to cool off during the hot days. Also, the outhouse was cleaner and nicer than many indoor bathrooms, which was a very welcomed surprise. Can't recommend this place enough - we'll definitely be back.

The Barbeque
What an incredible stay! The hosts were friendly and helpful, and also allowed plenty of privacy. This is a secret gem, well manicured trails between campsites. Very good amenities like water and flat tent sites. We stayed at the BBQ and had so much fun with three families and lots of kids. Tepid pool was a treat too and we can’t wait to go back.

It was great tent camping here over Memorial Day weekend. The views from atop the hill and sunset were beautiful. There are sites nearby but it still feels private. Jen was really friendly and even offered to give us a ride up the hill on her tractor! I also appreciated the communication before arriving that included clear directions and recommendations. Seeing the night sky full of stars plus the Space X landing was amazing! Highly recommend

Jim and June are wonderful hosts! Great place to camp to unwind and love the desert views and incredible stars at night! The spots are private even though there are other campers.
There is a cute honor store in the barn that has ice, snores and more! We love staying here as a quick get away!
Grab a burger at the buckhorn cafe on your way to song dog!

Very quiet and great for star gazing. The setup is awesome - like you have your own personal outpost. Loved how far apart the sites were spaced -- tons of privacy, yet nice to know you have some neighbors when the coyotes howl at night. ;)

Camping at Songdog feels so SPACIOUS. The land is really well taken care of and the site has all the simple things you need. Super recommend requesting a cowboy tub, that was the best treat for a sunny afternoon. And amazing hosts! We loved chatting with Jen, she is so warm and helpful.

Wellhead RV Campsite
We had 2 families come with their rv's. Our site was beautiful with a few trees for shade. I can't say enough great things about the owners of this property. They were beyond welcoming and accomidating! We found songdog ranch by doing an OHV search and thank god we did. We can't wait to return!

This was our first time camping in the high desert at this lovely, roomy site on a breathtaking mesa. We really appreciated the distance between each campsite which gave a more private feel to our experience. Friendly camp hosts who stayed in contact and gave helpful information leading up to our trip. We will be definitely returning in the future (maybe even getting to experience the super bloom!)

First of all i wanted to say big thanks to the Host. I didn't get her name but the host was super duper helpful. On our 3days and 2nights stay in draw camp site, my car wouldn't start on our last day. I messaged the host and ask help if she has a car jumper, she replied promptly and after 10minutes she came in our site with a portable jumper. I was relieved when my car started.
Anyhow, we really enjoyed our stay in draw camp site. My parents and wife enjoyed the sunset and the tranquility on our first night. It rained in the wee time of 3am and continued raining until the next morning. It was really a challenge on our second day because 11am it rained hail and it rained hard then the sun came up then it drizzled again after an hour. It was windy but manageable.
We will definitely come back!! 😉
