Coyote Lake Harvey Bear Ranch County Park stands out as a unique 6,695-acre regional recreation area, offering a serene escape just east of Gilroy, CA. This expansive park features a stunning 449-acre lake, perfect for fishing and boating enthusiasts. Coyote Lake is renowned for its exceptional black bass population, alongside bluegill, black crappie, and Eurasian carp. Visitors can enjoy the lake's waters with both powered and non-powered vessels. The park is a haven for diverse wildlife, providing habitats for numerous species of birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects, and mammals. Among its residents are the rare western pond turtle, California tiger salamander, and Bay checkerspot butterfly. Birdwatchers will delight in spotting 219 different bird species, including the majestic bald eagle, our national bird. Additionally, visitors may encounter black-tailed deer, wild turkeys, and even the elusive mountain lion in the park's more secluded areas. Coyote Lake Harvey Bear Ranch County Park also caters to campers, offering 73 campsites for RV and tent camping. Each site is equipped with a table, grill/fire pit, and food storage locker. RV sites come with electricity and water hookups, while a nearby dump station and hot showers enhance the camping experience
