Campo 91906 offers rolling fields, organic farms, century old oak trees, beautiful vistas and a rustic natural beauty not found anywhere but here. Our neighbors, Animal Farm Refuge, have saved a plethora of cows, goats, pigs and so many more for you to visit...vegans only. We offer complete visual privacy with a cedar fenced enclosure for you and your belongings. Campo Compound is a secured base camp on a larger parcel of land, there are neighbors near by, so you do not have audio privacy. Campo 91906 offers 4 museums, a cafe, bbq, sandwich shop, taco shop, a Dollar General and is home to the Southern Terminus of the Pacific Crest Trail. The newly reopened Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel and Restaurant is 13 miles east offering mineral spring pools for use with a fee. The Desert View Tower is a local favorite tourist spot near by as well as Golden Acorn Casino. There are endless hiking trails, BLM land for target practice and The Colony is not far down the 8 for your EDM festivals & Wellness Retreats. Also, Lake Morena is only 6 miles North where you can rent boats and go fishing. Campo Compound is a centrally located base camp for all your Mountain Empire adventures.Campo Compound is a sustainable base camp for nature enthusiasts, star gazers, wild hippies, ORV enthusiasts and everyone else located in Campo, 91906. Campo Compound offers complete privacy and security for you and your belongings. We offer running water, solar electricity, kitchen area and a bathroom with a flushable toilet. CC has an awesome gathering area with a Breo smokeless fire pit that can be used for cooking. The gazebo has 2 loungers for relaxing, a small table for drinks n' snacks. The kitchen area is a secure space with a sink, fridge, table for eating, two separate prep areas, overhead lighting and a ceiling fan for comfort. We also offer an air fryer, griddle, kettle, French press, coffee grinder, utensils, cups, mugs, wine goblets, plate, bowls, pyrex bowls, cast iron pans, BBQ utensils for use during your camp over. We also provide mustard, ketchup, bbq sauce, hot sauce, honey, sugar, oil, garlic, cinnamon, salt, pepper and tajin. Our bathroom is sandwiched between the kitchen and the sleeping area offering a flushing toilet, hot/cold shower and sink vanity. The HypeDome homes a King size bed with a plethora of blanket options depending on your preference. Just outside of the sleeping dome, you will find a 104 degree hot tub with unobstructed sky views and a towel warmer for cooler nights. We also provide robes & shower slides…so just bring your favorite food and drink, we’ve got you covered. There is a key code gated entrance that you drive into and the parking is large enough for you to park your car and maybe a few toys. Campo Compound is a self contained cedar fenced enclosure on a larger piece of property. Only you will have access to this complete camping experience.

Campo Compound

Perfect little getaway

This was honestly an amazing stay! There were plenty of different things to do that Posey provided. There was painting, a telescope, a bunch of board games, and even a projector for movie nights. We had a great time!

Campo Compound

Best glamping experience!

We are def coming back to Campo Campground! Exactly like the pictures, even better! My boyfriend and i wanted to do a two day trip and came across campo. They had everything we needed and had exactly everything listed. The smokeless firepit was great for cooking. We had fun with the provided canvases and paint along with the card games. It rained and was windy at night so we didnt get to enjoy the hot tub (will be back for the hottub) but the hyperdome kept us dry and safe. The heated blanket was a lifesaver as it got pretty cold at night. We plan on coming back soon to enjoy everything they have to offer. Oh and the fences were high that it left very private and safe.

Campo Compound

Most awesome desert retreat ever!

This one is really a can't miss! We had the most lovely, quiet, peaceful getaway just the two of us. Our host has included so many charming decorative touches and fun little activities in this space— bocce, cornhole, mini golf, and even a telescope for those famously bright desert night skies. This place is also perfect for the cooler months since the bed has a heated blanket and the daytime hours are sunny and warm here. Super private with a locked gate + tall fence, too, so no worries about neighbors. There might be some roosters crowing in the morning at the farm somewhere nearby, but we found it charming. :) Highly recommend for San Diego area couples looking for a getaway, writers and artists looking for a quiet solo retreat, or even folks finishing the Pacific Crest Trail nearby. You won't be disappointed. Definitely our favorite Hipcamp stay so far!!
