#12 Tent Camping on Creek
Family Favorite
We love this site at Camp Navoo. This was our 6th year coming to Camp Navoo and to site #12 (aka Kickapoo). The privacy and shade at the site makes it our favorite. The large bear box makes packing securing all your belongings so much easier.

Awesome Family Camp/Glamp
Camp Nauvoo is AWESOME!! From the ease of checking in to your site to meeting the wonderful staff that maintain this gorgeous space to experience the great outdoors! We stayed in Glamp site #2 and all amenities met or exceeded our expectations. Their bathrooms are super clean, only downside is for bigger men the shower is a bit small but totally doable! My kids loved playing in the creek and hiking around the property. Totally recommend for anyone looking for a wonderful camping experience!
Thanks, Greg & Laurie for all you do!

#3B Bell Tent on Creek
Such a great spot ! The tent was roomy , cots were comfortable , right by the creek . They have nice shared amenities including bathrooms and place to wash up dishes , water supply , and games and lawn with outdoor activities . Wish we could have stayed more than one night !
#14 Group Camping along Creek
Good stay except for Greg
We stayed at site 14 which is the site for larger groups and next to the creek. As it was mid-July, the water level was low and not swimmable. The campsite itself was OK - a bit of a squeeze with 12 people, but we made it work. The highlight of the campground is the giant lawn in the center. We played spike ball and frisbee at dusk at it was divine. The only prickly part of our stay was the camp manager, Greg. A bit of a strange fellow. We had a few awkward conversations with him when moving into our site, and when our Lab and Aussie were off leash briefly playing in the grass. He threatened to kick us out of camp and then continued to try and make small talk. It was weird. Overall, a good experience. We made the best of it 🙂
#2 Glamping Safari Tent on Creek
Tight Ship and Clip Board
Greg runs a tight ship at Camp Nauvoo, with clipboard in hand. Strict rules and guideline with little room for negotiation or change. Can’t have multiple guests at the most expensive campsites for a meal or gathering for example. “We need to keep wear and tear down.” Expect harsh answers and interruptions when trying to communicate or ask questions about the rules. The kids were told they had to stop burning their marshmallows in a very adult gruff tone of voice. Expect Greg to be looking over your shoulder as you unload and move toward your campsite. The rest of the staff is kind and easy to talk with.
Property is generally well kept. The bathrooms are ok. Camp store isn’t open that much. If you’re taller than 5’ 4” you’re not going to fit under the shower heads. With all the campsites occupied, it felt a bit crowded. The kitchen is available for private events only, although BBQ’s are available in every campsite and a large griddle is available outside the common area. Nice field for playing non-traditional sports. We’ll be looking for something else next year.

#1 Glamping Safari Tent on Creek
Ah how nice to find a local place like Vamp Nauvoo with a fine set of camp spots and tent/glamp options, nice hosts and great amenities. Our group, consisting five families, spread out across four spots ranging from large dirt group camp #12 to, tee pee, to a couple glamp tents. It’s safe to say everyone had a great time. Way above average (for camp sites) bathroom, cool river, big lawn area, kids playground, etc etc.
All around a very nice place for a way above average stay. Thanks Camp Nauvoo!
