Ruffin' it in the redwoods
Scott is very responsive in communications. thank you, Scott!
My experience:
I booked tent site #1. The site has an interesting foundation for the area to set up a tent. It's a couple of tables places on uneven ground. My four person (relatively small) tent did not fit on the foundation. I tried to remove the tables, only to discover the ground underneath was so uneven I could not set a tent up on it.
If you have a two person, you *might* fit on the foundation. If you're going to sleep in a hammock, this would likely work in campsite #1!
The first night we ended up moving over to campsite #2, which is more spacious, and was comfortable for the night.
We didn't end up staying the second night, because there was no cell service, it was very dark at night (bring lanterns!), and we didn't have creek access as expected.
All that being said, if you're okay "roughing it" a bit, I would recommend this spot as a budget campsite near to Santa Cruz.

Brook Camp #2
Nice Get-Away Spot
The property is well-suited for a Hip Camp. It is located in a small mountain residential community, but secluded by trees and hillsides. In two nights of camping, we only saw one car go by and no people. The driveway into the site is a bit of a sharp turn at a sharp turn in the road. It immediately goes downhill into the site. It looks a bit awkward, but we had no problem navigating it. Once inside, the camping area is a large, roomy flat space.
There are two "structures" at the site, made out of all manner of scrap materials, but both were functional. One was a platform with some folding tables that functioned as an outdoor patio-type area. It was large enough to accommodate 6 to 8 people but I would be afraid to have more than 2 to 4 on it at any one time. We prepared our meals at these tables. The other was a primitive but functional bathroom at the rear of something that looked like it had at one time been an enclosed room.
There was also one feature we wish wasn't there. The down-slopping driveway curves around a tree on the right. Wedged between the tree and a hillside was an 8 foot octagonal tent. This is Brook Camp #1 and a couple stayed there our first night. They had to park in our campsite so as not to block the driveway. And, they had to keep going through our campsite to get to and from the bathroom. They were nice enough, but it was a bit awkward for both of us. The property is great for one campsite.

Tall Grove Tent #1
Great experience
The surrounding was very quiet. The campsite was close to the road but there was little car sound and have natural sounds. Scott set up the tent for us and we need to bring other stuff. Make sure you check with the host to see what's offered and what's to bring. The campsite is very dark at night - we managed to take a picture of the Milky Way! Make sure you have some lights so you won't be walking in the dark.

Brook Camp #2
Great communication
Because of an unforeseen change of plans we were not able to make it and had to cancel or stay. Communication with Scott was great throughout, he even got in touch before our stay to introduce himself and to provide us with a map on how to get there. When we couldn't make it he As very understanding, communicated with us rapidly and offered us a refund. Thank you Scott.

Cozy Grove for Weekend Travels
We loved tent camping on Scott's property.
Our space was the perfect cozy nook for our weekend getaway - my partner and I enjoyed being underneath the tall redwoods; we came in from Big Sur and were elated to be camping so close to Big Basin State Park, our next destination.
Scott is proactive + friendly, would book again!!
