Eagle Nest: Nature Sanctuary
What a wonderful location for a weekend getaway. The tent was spacious and very comfortable, even with a roll away bed. Being close to Tsawwassen Mills was great. Tina and everyone at the property was so nice and helpful with any questions we had.

Eagle Nest: Nature Sanctuary
Beautiful tent
The campsite itself is tricky to find, there is no house number or signs directing you to the camp. The tent is beautifully decorated - doesn’t even feel like you’re in a tent! For future reference to those who want to book check the weather because if it’s suppose to rain everything inside the tent is basically wet due to the dampness it traps. Also the porta potty situation was horrible. I have nothing against using a porta potty however this one was infested with maggots and clearly had not been emptied prior to our arrival. Also one more side note - the kitchen does have everything you would need to cook EXCEPT for a cooler to keep your food in which wasn’t ideal for us who flew in for just a couple of days!

Eagle Nest: Nature Sanctuary
Boho Rainforest Retreat
Literal minutes from Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, Tsawwassen Mills Shopping Centre, an hour from Vancouver, and steps away from a beautiful and quiet beach, Eagle Nest Sanctuary is an incredible bohemian retreat tucked under a canopy of trees, with all the amenities one could need. Walking across the green grass to the back of the gorgeous property, one enters a truly amazing setting. Sheltered on all sides by lush trees, the two canvas tents are supplemented by essentially everything one could need; multiple sitting areas, multiple fire pits with firewood, a clean porta-potty, a solar shower, and essentially a full camp kitchen (just bring your own plates, cutlery, and water). The tents themselves are tastefully equipped with a comfortable bed, towels, a beanbag chair, and decorations, making you feel right at home. Throughout the camping area are a number of further decorations, truly fleshing out the boho feel. When I stayed, the weather was very changeable, with heavy showers and clouds making up most of the day. Despite the precipitation, inside the tents was dry, as was the covered kitchen area. Even the general camping area was saved from a supreme soaking by the canopy above. When the clouds finally broke, I was treated to an incredible sunset, conveniently viewed from the beach and trail literally right across the street. Not only does the beach offer fantastic sunsets, but also amazing views of Tsawwassen Ferry terminal, peaceful walks, and great bird watching opportunities. Just mere minutes away by car, Tsawwassen Mills offers innumerable shopping and eating options, and Big Splash Waterslide Park is steps away. Also close via car is Westham Island which features Alaksen National Wildlife Area, offering fantastic bird watching and walking opportunities. Host Tina is very welcoming and responsive, and her hard work in establishing Eagle Nest Sanctuary is clear. With such a great location so close to the ferry, this boho retreat makes for an amazing basecamp for those just off, or about to board the ferry and are looking to explore the lower mainland for a couple days.

Eagle Nest: Nature Sanctuary
Was a great stay at the Sanctuary. The tents are gorgeous and the space for playing with the family on the grass was perfect. The kitchen had pots and pans and all we needed was some plates and cutlery. Id love to stay at Tina's again in the future.
