Primitive camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Experience the once in a lifetime cosmic event of TOTALITY of the 2024 solar eclipse on our beautiful property located near the Ouachita River.
Enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the Ouachita mountains as you camp on a hilly property that peaks out of the Ouachita river valley! Sunrises and sunsets are breath taking on this piece of land.
Also, enjoy hunting your own QUARTZ CRYSTALS! Much of this property is littered with clear crystal points, as there is a quartz vein that runs through it.
RULES
Primitive camping, on a first come, first serve basis. No designated camping sites, just give one another room and be courteous of other campers.
OFFROAD vehicles only, or park on the road and walk in to camp. Some parts of the property has wet areas this time of year so be mindful of them.
PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. No trash service , any littering will result in fines or you will be asked to leave. We have zero tolerance for litter bugs!
DO NOT dig holes in the field to look for crystals. You are sharing the field with cattle, they will not bother you but holes can be dangerous for them and cause injury. You are more than welcome to look for crystals on the surface of the ground (there are plenty laying around and you will not have to look long to find a special souvenir!)
FIRES allowed, as long as you make sufficient fire ring and use caution and safe practices with fire. ALWAYS make sure your fire is completely extinguished before leaving your campsite unattended.Dispersed camping, choose your own site! Get on top a hill for views of the night sky, or camp near the calm pond to enjoy the water and fish.
