This place is always great. I bring my dog and she loves running down to the river and through the field. You can see the stars super well on the right nights and sunsets are always awesome. There’s a gas station about 5 minutes down the road where you can restock and a Walmart in Mena is about 30 minutes away.
If you want an easy hike, Southern Loop Trail is a good pick around Mena — it’s part of the Earthquake Ridge Trail system just west of town, right off U.S. Highway 270 and only took about 45 mins to do.

Perfect campsite on the River. Shelter is amazing. Sites are secluded for perfect privacy. Beautiful property! We will be back.

Absolutely fantastic off grid camping in the heart of a vast trail system if you like to go atv riding and if not its a perfect place to hang out a while away from the world! We trail road some days and kayaked a park of the river right off the camp site the other days. We have stayed at both site 1 and 2 at different times and love them both.

End of the trail was an amazing getaway from all the modern world. The river was right there, the site was gorgeous and had amenities I was not expecting but glad to have access to. The area was peaceful and simply gorgeous.
My dogs loved the area as well and my child got to enjoy the site of cows in the field across the river.

The treehouses at End of the Trail were very cute and comfortable. Everything you need except bedding. No water though, and the porta potty was far away near Site #1. We stayed at Site #2 Freebird. The River bottom is too muddy for swimming, but the frogs, cicadas, owls, and lightning bugs made up for it. Could hear some highway noise but did not wake me up. Site #1 has a side creek that moves swifter and we rinsed off in it bc no one was there. Felt very safe. Great not to have to set up a tent.

Absolutely lovely site. Very bare bones so bring lights and a comfy bed if that’s something you care about, and the porta potty was a walk, but that wasn’t a big deal. Was a beautiful and private location, had a chance to use the kayaks and make a fire and relax on the river. 10/10 would come again, had a great time.

Would consider staying again but… screened in cabin had large gaps making easy access for mosquitoes, flies, etc. Some was due to damaged screens but some was just the construction. One member of our group set up a tent for better overnight protection. The river right outside has a cute little slip stream, but the main river is very slow and murky (early July visit). Host was responsive when I called with an issue during the visit. I loved that our dogs could be off leash. The other campsite is 1/4 mile away or so and we didn’t see or hear them—and neither did our dogs.

This is a beautiful "off the beaten path" spot to relax and unwind by the river. We loved the access to the river, and the big night sky!

Took our two kids on their first camping trip! The location gave up different opportunities to camp! The lean to excited the kids. Also put the tent up! Being so close to the water was great! Great fishing for small mouth bass.
The community area down to the stream was a great place to swim and wash up!

The property was gorgeous and private, even in the rain we stayed dry. The hosts are incredibly kind and accommodating! My friends and family have already asked for the link and I can't wait to go back!

This camping location is special and unique. We enjoyed the remote feel of the riverside site. The owners clearly keep up the grounds. Good value. Positive primitive camping experience.

It's so hard to find simple little places like this. I know that glamping is popular, but I prefer the cabin equivalent to dry camping for myself. y dogs and I had a great time, and the greenhouse roof on one side made the thunderstorms enjoyable; being able to see the clouds, rain, and lighting while laying back.
The little deck looks out over the river. Perfect for fresh ground coffee and breakfast like we did. Not quite enough covering to sit on the bench and enjoy the rain without getting wet, though.
There's also a little path from the cabin to the river if you want to swim, take a kayak, or just sit in the water to be lazy.
This one of the two cabins is tucked away in the trees between the river and a circular open space for tents or outdoor games, so you have total privacy but room to play.
All in all, I would definitely book this again and bring my group with me.

Really unique property with 3 camping spots spaced far apart along the river. There are also large fields with freshly mowed paths and a creek with different branches and swimming holes. We were the only campers and enjoyed being able to let our dogs run free. We stayed at Site 1, and there was (just!) enough room for two adult cots and a double bed sized futon mattress.
Site is equipped with a picnic table, kayak, life jacket, nice fire pit, and grill.
Great views of the stars!
We wish we had packed a screen tent to put around the picnic table bc the flies were bad (as they could have been anywhere else in AR at this time of year).
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

I didn't have many camping so far, but this one was the best by far!
And I don't think any other camp site could beat it at least for a long time.
They had everything ready for you to enjoy, and you had an easy job to do it! They even had something for repelling the bugs from your tent. I really enjoyed my staying and definitely plan to come back but either by a bigger car or after some no rain days as my Honda accord got stuck before reaching the camp! They were so kind in helping me get out of that situation which I really appreciated.

I enjoyed the stay very much. There was total privacy and the treehouse overlooked a lazy river. My only comment is you have to drive through a creek. After rain I don't think a regular car to could make it. It was dry when I crossed with a Camry, but it took a couple tries. But, I would never let that stop me from visiting again. It is beautiful!

What a fantastic hidden oasis!💗
The nature here is beautiful. The sounds of the rushing river lull you to sleep so peacefully. It feels very private, and came equipped with a grill, firewood, canoe. The price was fantastic and made her really perfect last minute getaway for this single mama with her teenagers and pup.
The owner, Wentz came by to visit us and was so friendly and accommodating. He offered to bring by some fishing gear if we needed it. It was cool to hear the story about his vision for people to enjoy this incredible space in nature.
Portable toilet was exceptionally clean.
Next time I might bring an air mattress or cots but other than that, it had everything that we needed. We will definitely return there again and look forward to our next visit with Wentz!🙂

I wish I could gate keep this place, but it is to true of a gem to do that. Absolutely private, well maintained and it has an incredible location. So quiet. Thank you, as always, for an amazing site!

So much all in one place! It's beautiful and serene. Camp spots are so far apart you will think you are the only ones there. Wentz was always quick to respond at all hours when we had questions. We stayed at Site 2-We brought everything we needed as we always do camping but didn't know it had so much at site already! When we came it has a long with the covered shelter- a picnic table, prep table, small charcoal grill, great fire pit, small little side table, and a metal trash can with trash bags. We had a great stay!

Our family really enjoyed the tree houses, we stayed at both of them consecutive nights. Hard to choose because they each got their own special things and lots of love put into them. It was a rainy weekend and we stayed dry and really enjoyed the visit. Will be back. Great place

The best site!!! My tiny sedan made it all the way there, even thru the water crossing. Wentz is a very kind host! Recommending to all my friends IRL. The river is very peaceful this time of year and i loved the elevated cabin! The location is also perfect-right on the fourche la fave river in the middle of ouachita natl forest
