The deck with lake view
Sights, Stars, and Relaxation!
We loved camping this location! Very secluded with great views of the valley, Lake Pleasant, and the stars!
If you enjoy wildlife, you'll love the burro activity in the area!!!

Lake view pad with 2 driveways
Beautiful views and privacy!
This is a beautiful site and well-maintained. There are great views from all sides. This is a perfect pad for a vehicle attached tent like we had. There was plenty of room for that as well as a fire pit, cook station, etc. The hosts were incredibly helpful and communicative! You get a lot of nature and a lot of privacy as this is along the road, but it is down off the road and only one truck drove by each day. I highly recommend this spot for a novice camper! Also, I have Verizon and I had cell service up there without fail!

The deck with lake view
Wow. This was even better than I expected. I stayed at the site with the deck and tent site. Very quiet, really amazing views. I both heard and saw the donkeys and cows, and I'm not sure they knew what to do with me! The fire pit was perfect, and I managed to fit my medium tent in the cleared spot behind the deck without much issue. As directed, I parked at the host's grey stucco cabin parking spot. Enough room for two normal cars. Cow Creek is really cool, and looks like it may even run year round! At the bottom of Columbia Trail, right after you cross the little creek, there is a huge pull off area. The hike down stream gets you to a slot canyon in just 5 minutes with neat little pools and waterfalls. Up Cow Creek road towards Crown King, just past the red cliff, is a neat pull off spot with these enormous boulders you can safely walk under and around. Columbia trail, up the hill from Cow Creek Road to the campsites, is a little steep and rough, but my SUV has 4WD and did fine. I drove over to the other campsite, the one with pad and driveways, and it was very solid and flat. I will probably book that one if I ever get brave enough to visit with my 2 wheel trailer or a large group.
Again, amazing views, quiet. The stars were next level. I highly recommend this place. I honestly didn't know there was such a pretty destination so close to Phoenix!
