If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We have visited this land many times. The water is wonderful. I love swimming just off the shore and my husband likes to take the boats out down the river.
Beautiful rustic glamping with nice artistic touches. Very close to hemlock cliffs and Patoka Lake.
We will keep going back.
Great spot for family and peace.
We had a great first family camping experience! Everything about the experience was really well thought out. You can really explore and have a good time with kids. The amenities are a bonus and the patio and little kitchen/bar area was a great addition that had us coming together as a family for meals instead of spreading out.
Peaceful oasis right on the river
This place was absolutely amazing. Paige and Angie were incredible hosts, meeting us at the camp to show us the ropes and making us feel right at home. They are definitely people who love nature and love giving others the chance to experience it as well. The property feels like your own little private park. There’s an awesome little cabin with a bar and happy lights and electrical outlets if you need to charge phones, use an electric kettle to boil water (they provide 3 gallon jugs of water and tea kettle if you need it!) There’s also a glamping tent (for an extra fee) that they’ve decorated so cute which also boasts a queen size mattress for those who aren’t much for sleeping on the ground or sleeping bags. Angie told us we could use this fun net hammock attached to it, which may have been the highlight of my kids trip. They played on that thing for hours! There are plenty of places to set up tents around the property, as well as a rustic path through the woods, a grassy walk down right to the river where we kayaked and paddle boarded...(all of those were provided for a small extra fee! Which was TOTALLY worth it! There is a large campfire area with benches and firewood ready for you, and anytime I had questions about things around us or on the site, Angie was quick to respond and always so incredibly kind. They also have a peace pole, which I absolutely loved, and sets the whole tone for this site! You will NOT want to leave. We are already planning our next trip back!
A tranquil & verdant indiana gem!
We so loved our short stay at the Little Blue Horse Camp! Even though we got to the campsite later than expected, Angie greeted us warmly with the biggest smile and walked us around their beautiful land. It's hard to tell from the photos, but the peaceful camp site sits perfectly right beside the gentle Little Blue River and is shaded by giant trees. Our view each morning was breathtaking! Furthermore, the site is conveniently located (minutes away) to the spectacular Hemlock Cliffs, and 45 mins from Louisville (for a day-trip to the city). But what we enjoyed the most was sitting by the river in the evenings in the company of the many birds of the Hoosier National Forest. The grass was well-maintained for ease of camping, while respecting the natural state of the land. Also, the cosy campfire area was prepared for us to enjoy before we arrived. It's clear that Paige & Angie have put a lot of love into their land (their Instagram account is the sweetest), and this has translated to a wonderful camping experience for their guests. We feel so restored and rejuvenated after our visit to this beautiful campsite, and we can't recommend this site enough. Thank you, Angie & Paige! We hope to be back soon!
Gorgeous, well maintained area. Lots of attention to detail, beyond what I imagined possible from an outdoor setting. Ample room to frolick around with the dogs, particularly by the river and towards the back of the property. Angie and Paige were beyond great, seriously nice people. Talking about coming back during warmer months to take advantage of river access.
Had a great time on a quick overnighter with our dog. Excellent hosts and nice property that has been kept up very well. Paige and Angie were very hospitable and welcoming. Caught 3 largemouth, a smallmouth, a rock bass, and pumpkinseed in the river before relaxing by the firepit. We had a great time and will definitely return.
