Pitch your tent along the wooded creek bank and experience all the exhilaration that an Indiana farm has to offer! The site has a firepit and picnic table.  Only a 3 minute walk from your car. Restrooms (but no shower) are available 200 yards from the site.

Heritage Farm is a working alpaca farm with over 50 alpacas you can watch and interact with. Make friends with our black Labrador, Juno. Also residing on the farm are a flock of chickens, 6 goats and several barn cats. If you want to, you can help with the daily chores of feeding the animals. After that, you can explore the big red barn that was selected as one of the top-ten Bicentennial barns in the state. Roam around the 120 acre homestead, woods and creek and soak in the sights, sounds and smells of the farm.

Activities for kids include helping with farm chores, hiking trails, wading in the creek and swinging on the large platform swing and soaring down the 50 foot hill slide.

Be sure to visit our farm store before you leave where you can shop for alpaca products such as sweaters, hats, mittens and scarves. Pick up some honey made from bees on our farm!

We look forward to going back in warmer weather to walk along/in the creek and hike further on the property trails. This really is a gem and such a fun experience to camp on a creek one one side and have curious goats on the other with Alpacas in the distance. Tim treated us more like family than guests. He even had an extra minute after bringing us wood to take my son on a gator ride around the property which was thoughtful. Loved Heritage Farm and we truly cant wait to go back.

We've enjoyed plenty of camping through Hipcamp, but our time on Heritage Farm was by far the most peaceful and restorative! The beautiful creekside camping spot was perfectly nestled amongst the trees, providing plenty of shade and breeze - but was in close proximity to the well-tended fields, rolling hills, and charming farm houses. One can tell how much love and care Tim and Beth have put into their land! Even our dog had a fun time romping around the freshly mowed grass and meeting the gentle animals around the farm. What a special place! Thank you Tim and Beth! We hope to be back soon!

The creek side campsite at Heritage Farms is a fantastic spot to camp with children. There is a lot of pretty space for them to explore and the 5 children in our group all asked to return soon.
The hosts are lovely and let the kids feed chickens and walk the Alpacas. They have a bridge built across the stream that the kids enjoyed as much as getting in the stream.
The toilets are very clean but a bit of a walk for the littlest ones in our group. (When camping we always bring a small camping bucket toilet kit for those 6 and under; I would recommend one for this site if you have small children)

Stayed for 2 nights with our kids, ages 4-13. They all had fun. We did combo of creekside camping and tree tent. The campsite is private and wooded which keeps it cool. There is a picnic table and fire pit. The bathrooms are a short walk and very clean. The kids were able to run around freely, looking for the cats and checking out the alpacas and playing on the tree swing. There isn't anything fancy here, just good , old fashioned fun. I love that they can run around and I don't have to be with them as I know they'll be safe. Ask for the pizza, it is delicious! The hosts, Tim and Beth, are lovely people and helped us with anything we needed.
