Clean and quaint
Lisa and her property are great. She met us upon arrival and was so ready to help. She helped us unload, held our children, and took the time to show us around.
The campsite is very private and lovely.
Stay with her! She is wonderful.
Perfectly placed primitive camping
This hipcamp site was just exactly what I was looking for when searching for a place to camp near where my daughter is based at Scott AFB.
I didn’t get to meet the owner, Lisa, but she kept in touch the whole time and was easy to reach via text when needed.
We sat up Camp in a field and enjoyed the campfire spot Lisa had ready and waiting with all the supplies we could need, including a little bathroom set up.
We enjoyed our time there and were within a few minutes drive of a Walmart and restaurants.
Thanks to Lisa for providing a site to camp where we felt safe and sound and right at home. We will be back again!
Lisa was very hospitable and the camp site exceeded my expectations. She had all the basics for a successful, fun, and comfortable camping experience. She was also very thorough while showing me the property and even showed me where I could access some neat historical sites right off of her property. While this site definitely gives you the outdoor feel you need to feel in the wilderness, it is also not too far from the city so if you need anything it's a short drive and there is cell service!
Perfect for a stopover/weekend away
Booked both of Lisa's campsites for 4th of July weekend, but stayed mostly on this side.
Lisa's hospitality was very much appreciated. She really adds value to the site by providing lots of essentials and extras, which is a big help. If you're used to car camping, you do have to walk your gear in further than you normally would, but the huge amount of space and quiet you get is worth it.
