McCully Heritage Project
Pitch your tent in one of four widely spaced sites. Each site has enough room for multiple tents and includes a fire pit and picnic table.
The sites are just a short walk from our shower/restroom facility. The fishing ponds are just a quarter mile walk from the campsites, and access to the numerous trails throughout our 940-acre property is directly from the campsites

While we have four designated sites, it is rare for all to be full, and likely that you'll be the only campers here most days.
We are located in a very remote/rural part of Illinois in a county nestled between the Mississippi & Illinois Rivers, but only 75 miles north of downtown St. Louis. We have been included in John Shirle's "The Best in Tent Camping: Illinois."

Awesome Illinois campsite and perfect for family camping/hiking! The setting is nestled right in the hills, among the trees. Campers are given a complimentary firewood bundle and extra by donation. The firepit has a grill. It was great to be able to heat up food and make coffee! There is just a short walk from the parking lot to the campsite, and it's super helpful that there is a provided wagon to help bring your things to your site. There are clean bathrooms with running water and showers. Additionally, the bathrooms have stools, potties, and changing stations for little ones. The info center is stocked with a mini-fridge of cold, bottled water by donation, but there is a refillable water source as well. The day goes by quickly with everything there is to do on-site. There is mushroom hunting, fishing ponds, hiking trails, wildlife viewing, and a playground for kids! We saw so much wildlife like tadpoles, cardinals, butterflies, frogs, crawdad,
beaver chewings, and deer prints. Can't wait to get back and camp again soon! So much fun!

Great place to camp. Nice trails around the site. Wood and water is provided. Restrooms are next to the site.

Absolutely beautiful ❤️ We had a lovely weekend with our family and two dogs. It’s exactly as described and bathroom facilities were immaculately clean and maintained. We especially loved the walking trails and appreciated how well they have been maintained 😀

Nice quiet place to be. Good walks to see wildlife. Mostly tent sites, not a good place if you want plug-ins for RV
It was our second stay, and we will keep coming back. The shower house is the best I've ever seen at a campground! Great place with beautiful scenery.
This was our second time camping here and we brought friends who had never been here before. We all loved it!
