RV Sites:
When you first pull into the campground, there is a ramp to your left that will lead you directly to the RV parking sites. We also have approximately 8 RV sites.
We encourage hi-tech equipment that are independent of gas, or utility power. We strongly discourage noisy gas generators. We can show you what we use, i.e. solar power to run

This land is primitive. It's a place of refuge and safety. The only rules here are as you cross the gate, you follow the Indian Ten Commandments .
The ten commandments are to respect the land and others. Come with a open mind to be healed from whatever you might be dealing with in your personal, family, or professional life. I assure you if you put forth the effort....watch the stars at night, listen to the small water falls, silent your electronics, you will receive personal revelation from the Great Spirit, our creator, who loves us all. If you forgot to bring a notebook and pen, don't worry, everyone that comes to this sacred land to visit, receives a notebook and pen. Please find the time to be alone. Find your own little spot....there are several. Too many to mention. This property has changed my life immensely. I assure you if you put forth the right amount of effort it will change your way of life....we always have room to improve. You will seek a better understanding of your purpose in life....why am I truly here. To be a dad, raise kids, or much much more....
This is a carry in carry out location. There is no power, but plenty of sun for solar powered devices.
Please feel free to contact me. The best way is by text message to my personal phone. Iif I don’t respond right away, don’t worry, I will. Leave a very detailed text message, screen capture your booking and send it to me....i.e. My name is....i booked on May 5th, for East 1 tipi...on May 10th for 1 day. I was wondering if I could change it to May 11th, and get East 5, because my friends from school just found out they are in East 6 on May 11th. There are a lot of instances where either I can't hear my phone or my phone isn't with me at the moment.

Just what I was looking for. The RV spot was wonderful, backed up to the river. It was quiet and peaceful. Joel was very kind. I could tell he wanted us to enjoy our stay. We will have to return to stay in one of the tipi’s. They looked very fun!

This is a beautiful peaceful place run by a very kind man. He made our experience so fun and took time to talk to and teach our kids. We’ll be back
This is a beautiful property and we really enjoyed our stay. Joel was a great host, very personable and accomodating. There is a lot of open space and it was nice for our dog to romp around the meadow offleash.

Sweet, river-side gem. like home.
Beautiful lazy, river, perfect for kids and families.
Very dedicated and attentive camp host!
Proximity to train tracks is novel, but also a bit jarring in the middle of the night! The beautiful, quaint, laid-back atmosphere and the host’s respect for the land he is sharing more than make up for the night-trains!
We we definitely be back!!

We had a wonderful long weekend here. Floating the river from one end of camp to the other and then walking back to the start was a blast! The water was cool in the summer heat but not cold, just perfect. RV sites are kind of tight but it was still reasonable with lots of space to spread out elsewhere. The trains at night didn't bother us but others said they woke them up. Karaoke and axe throwing was also fun. Would definitely return. Make sure to being your shade structure. Also the host and fellow camp members saved my sweet blind dog from the river, and I will always be grateful!

We initially were to stay for a quick stop on our very long drive home, but decided to stay another night for the 4th of July holiday because the area was pretty and quiet, but with a fun family atmosphere. The kids loved floating down the river. Joel was friendly and helpful. The porta potties were extremely full, but it was a busy weekend.
Wonderful spot to float the river with little kids safely. Great area and although close to the trains would highly recommend to everyone.
Great Hip Camp experience! Joel was welcoming and kind. His property is beautiful and we were grateful to have found a place where the kids could play in the water, enjoy the outdoors. We stayed three nights in our 5th wheel. The trailer/RV spot are close/tight. The other spots though, across the river in the TP's or for tents are spacious and beautiful.
We would absolutely return.
Thanks Joel!
