Looking for a quiet getaway to rest and recharge?! Then we have the perfect spot for you! Its a short 20 minute drive to Farragut State Park, Lake Pend Orielle (the largest lake in Idaho), Bayview, Silverwood Theme Park, and amenities such as the grocery store and restaurant.
You can spend your days kayaking, fishing and enjoying the view! If you keep your eyes peeled you may see blue heron’s, bald eagles, and if you’re quite the beaver may swim by to say hello!
There are two RV back in options. The top spot has narrow access with a 6 foot elevation change but beautiful lake views. The lower spot is level with the access road. If you aren’t confident backing your trailer in this may not be the spot for you. We also welcome tent and van campers! There are two fire rings, a picnic table, 4 chairs, and an outhouse. The path down to the lake is rocky and the property is situated on the end of the lake with the lily pads and beaver dens…. its beautiful but not the best swimming spot! If you want to take a dip in the lake the public boat launch is less than a half mile down the road, or you can take your kayaks out on the lake! Its the perfect kayak lake since motor boats are not allowed. If you have an electric boat motor you are more than welcome to use it. There are other homes surrounding the lake, but its nicely treed and feels like you’re out in the forest.

Camping & silverwood theme park
We loved our tent camping on Stephen’s property. There was plenty of space (we had an 8 man tent, 2 man tent, kitchen setup, shower tent, 2 vehicles and a cargo trailer plus a cornhole setup and had tons of space. The campfire setup and view were just beautiful. We spent 2 days playing at Silverwood, an easy jaunt from this campsite. It is on a road, so not silent but didn’t bother us. The outhouse is an outhouse. We spent a day fishing and paddle boarding on the lake (access just a couple minutes drive or an easy walk). My 6 year old son fished every morning (2 minute walk out of camp) and caught several bluegill. Stephen was very responsive and we’d absolutely stay here again!
Peaceful and clean lakeside getaway
Beaver Bay was the perfect peaceful getaway we were hoping for! Kelso lake is a small, quiet lake lined with cute cabins but it still felt like we were the only people around. The lot itself was perched above the lakeside, very clean and well-maintained. Some mild traffic on the road, but a fenced street side made the space still feel private. Outhouse was clean and easy to use. There were little to no bugs during our visit, just lots of chirping birds, the occasional hawk diving for a fresh seafood lunch, and even some precision flying from the bats at night (I assume they’re helping with the bugs!). Space was big enough for two RV’s and several people, but the 2 of us pitched our tent and enjoyed the entire space to ourselves. Had a great stay and will definitely come back!
Best glamping for sure!
This was a spectacular camp spot perfect for my family’s last night on an epic road trip. It was easy to find, gorgeous views, well stocked and maintained. We had a blast! Lots of mosquitos but I came prepared. We’ll definitely come back!
Cute place, thoughtful touches,
Pros: It's an adorable set up. Own toliet. Wonderful views. Close to town if you need anything. Close to several hikes. Two fire pits. He provides a lot too, more than we were expecting. Tiki torches with citronella to help bug issue. Beautiful views from two different docks. Lots of room too! Easy to find!
Things to be aware of: very rocky ground so if tenting make sure you have correct stakes. We did luckily and our tent survived two days of storms. Bring lots of bug spray as the mosquitoes and bugs are thick, however you are next to water. :) It's not super private and everyone walking down the road are looky Lous for what ever reason. Lol.
Cons: right of the road and it is BUSY especially in the evening hours. People haul down that road too so if you have littles it isn't safe. Also, all the property around is private property, so to explore you do need to travel. Across the lake they are doing some sort of construction and the husband and wife definitely had different opinions and we could hear all of it loud and clear.
We will come back though for sure as it was central to everything we like for hiking and it was just such a rustic/cute set up.
Such a beautiful spot, was very easy to get to and find. It's quiet and feels secluded even with the homes around the lake. My regret is I only booked for a quick overnight trip, I'd love to come back and really get to enjoy this spot!
This spot was so peaceful! I was just there for one night and would definitely come back for another stay. It’s a nice spot with a cute rustic theme. And I saw two beavers the night I was there! So cool!! There were a lot of mosquitos when I was there, but I’m sure that comes and goes with the season. It wouldn’t stop me from coming back for more! I’d recommend this spot to anyone looking for a beautiful place to rest and recharge!
