This listing is for one 16’ Stargazer Bell Tent that is set up on a raised deck platform that provides a great view of trees and horse pasture. The raised deck platform has a set of short stairs to a lower deck with a built in bench and seating. Tucked behind an Ironwood grove, this listing offers a little more privacy from the other tents on the property. You are still within a minute walk of the kitchen and bathroom. The Stargazer tent allows you, on a clear night, to stargaze through the tents skylights. Your tent is fully furnished with all of the same comforts you would have at home. Queen sized bed with linens, nightstands, seating, clothing storage, twinkle lights. (Duracell Generator on request for an add-on).
This tent has one queen sized bed to accommodate 2 people. If you would like to add additional guests to stay in your bell tent there is a $20 for each additional guest. This fee will include a cot/futon with bedding and pillow per person.
A short walk will take you to the outdoor common area. This is shared space to prepare your meals, hangout, and meet new people all while enjoying a picturesque view of Haleakala in the distance. We provide a fully functioning kitchen for cooking your own meals; stovetop, grill, refrigerator, electricity and seating with a view. There are picnic benches and a gas firepit. Just past the kitchen is a outdoor shower and bathroom. This is also a shared common area.
Wake up and pick fruit from the mango, guava, papaya and banana trees all around. Vegetables from the garden are waiting to be harvested to supplement your dinner.
Stay in North Kohala, the northern tip of the Big Island of Hawaii, and sleep in peace away from the hustle and bustle of the resorts and towns. Kohala is a small community of quaint cottages, mom and pop restaurants, fun locally made wares and plenty of adventure. If you’re looking for even more things to do, the Haven is only a 25 minute drive from anything you could want. Scenic drives over the Kohala Mountain Road will take you to the charming ranch town of Kamuela (also known as Waimea). This ranching town has Farmers Markets, local coffee shops, antiques, shopping, horse back riding, rodeo and some of the best restaurants on the island. Leaving Hawi and heading down the Kohala Coast will take you to luxury resorts, shopping, award winning restaurants, white sand beaches, snorkeling, helicopter rides, deep sea fishing, surfing, paddling; the list goes on and on!

This is a lovely site for a night -- the little compound Wendy has set up with common kitchen and bathroom spaces is nicely done. The view from the camp is great, and the space overall is really lovely and tranquil. My own issue is that it's pretty expensive for the fact that you're sleeping in a tent and using a shared bathroom. This would be a good place for someone who is looking for a 'glamping' experience--that is, something that resembles camping but doesn't actually require any discomfort and is willing to pay a premium for that convenience.
Yikes. I thought I already left a review! I was so juiced after our stay I wrote a review first chance I got but it didn't save. This place is awesome. The experience is not found on a resort. The property is beautiful. The hosts are wonderful. Next time I come to Big Island I will definitely be staying here. I brought my 9 year old and she was sad to go. Bunnies, goats, beautiful horses, pretty garden. Camping but done right. Full kitchen that has about anything one could want. Even if you forget something it will likely be in the kitchen. Be kind to the area its not exploited by tourist and really lets you feel the Aloha of the island
We loved our stay at Hawi Nani! Our tent was more the enough space for myself, husband and two children. Our host was amazing and so accommodating. A beautiful place to disconnect and relax! Will be back soon. =)
The best four days spent glamping on the ranch where you wake up to animals and your work day begins. (They don’t make you work!! but if you want to feed horses, chickens, goats or work in the garden there are tons of fun projects). I didn’t think I’d say this but it was such fun and such a great experience !! Hawi Nani Ranch is situated in a quaint little town on the northern tip of the big island with spectacular views of the Maui and the bluest ocean. Love that it is a working ranch and fruits and vegetables are plentiful. Plan a trip if you can. A big thank you to Wendy, Becky and Don for being the best hosts ever!!! We had so much fun!!
