This exquisite and secluded property is located at the base of the Koʻolau mountains in Waimānalo. Surrounded by breath-taking views that will captivate and invigorate your spirit, this private property offers an experience that is one of a kind. With over 10 acres to explore, this regenerative farm is home to many fruit trees, indigenous plants, wild chickens, and other beautiful birds that you will likely spot while taking a stroll on our nature path. We have worked really hard to care for this ʻāina (land), and we are happy to share it with respectful travelers looking for a quiet, authentic, farm-stay experience. Camp Koʻolau provides bathrooms, a warm-water outdoor shower with an amazing view, and parking. Our farm is only a 5-minute drive to the beach, and 15 minutes from popular, Kailua town. As a working farm, we do have insects and geckos hanging around. So, it's not uncommon to encounter them. Also, we often have visits from wild pigs that come down from the mountain, so you may see them as well. Although we are certain you will love this place, please keep in mind, it takes a lot of hard work to maintain it. Thus, you will probably hear farm equipment and activities buzzing about (typically on the weekends). And, we want you to respect, love, and care for this place as much as we do by leaving it better than you found it. For an added fee, we also offer: 1) Full plant-based meal plans (Mon. - Fri.) that are prepared by the owners of an award-winning vegan restaurant. 2) An exclusive adventure on our Hawaiian sailing canoe to Nā Mokulua (Twin Islands) or around Mānana (Rabbit Island). Insanely hospitable and happy hosts! Greeted like family, given in-depth tour of the property, and perfect communication. The camp is beyond gorgeous, overlooking the islands and full of happy chickens. We will always come back 🤙🍍

An amazing hidden gem! Super clean. The trail overlooking Waimanalo and nearby islands is gorgeous. Also the vegan food that their family makes is amazing!! Support this amazing local family 🤙🏽

Car Camping Site

This place is magical. Scooter and her family are very warm and friendly. The views are spectacular - both of the ocean and the misty mountains. Gorgeous walking trails with tons of fruit trees. The shower is nice and hot and the bathroom is very clean. A lot of love and thought goes into this place and it’s very noticeable. Many mahalos for sharing this very special aina.

Such a special place to stay!

We stayed at several campgrounds on Oahu and all were great but this one took the cake! Such a special spot with a beautiful setting, gorgeous plantings, and incredibly kind hosts. Couldn’t recommend more :)

Beautiful mountain stay

We loved our stay at Camp Ko’olau! Scooter and her family were very welcoming and friendly. The facilities were really clean and the Mountain View from the outdoor shower was stunning. The land is absolutely beautiful and we would 100% stay here again. The horticulturist, James, was fun and taught us a magic trick. Thank you Scooter and family!!
