Fun, relaxing, and secluded
The campsite was well maintained and secluded, which is just what we were looking for. Mrs. Debbie was a great host, she made sure everything was taken care of for our stay. We enjoyed our time relaxing by the lake, fishing, swimming and kayaking.
Quiet, lakeside with full hook ups
Lakeside is on an 80 acre lake. There's a dock, two kayaks, a fire pit, firewood, pavilion area and, even though we could see the owner's home, we had a lot of privacy.
This was a fantastic Hipcamp experience but a few things to note:
• The road to Lakeside is not paved and it's a bit bumpy
• The parking area is lined with railroad ties and it's about a 30 yard driveway to back down to reach the connections (We got there after dark and the hosts were kind enough to help us navigate the backup)
• There is no wifi, but our Verizon service was strong enough to use our phone as a hotspot and utilize streaming services
Bottom line: Highly recommend this spot and these kind hosts
Backyard camping at it’s best.
We arrived at the site after dark and set up camp. The site was set up with water, power and sewer. The site overlooked the lake and has a large fire pit and pavilion. The hosts provided firewood for an additional fee. On our second evening some friends joined us and set up a tent on the site. The dock was a short walk and we enjoyed paddling on the lake.
My boyfriend and I have been full timing for about 4 months and this was our absolute favorite place to stay so far! Our dog loved exploring and the view was so relaxing. Not only that, but this is the safest we've ever felt at any of the places we've stayed. Debbie and her husband were so sweet and hospitable and we are so thankful they offer such a beautiful place to camp! We really hope we find our way back to Georgia soon so we can enjoy a little mini vacation all over again.
Trust the positive reviews!
Debbie and her husband were friendly, nice and helpful. This place exceeded our expectations in every way. This particular site is 50amp only so bring an adapter if your rig is 30amp. We’ll be back.
