SEPT 2021 UPDATE: WE HAVE BABY GOATS!!

We have a suburban hobby farm hidden away in the undeveloped acreage at the back of a 1960s subdivision. Everyone who comes down the driveway says "What?! How is this here? This is so cool!" And they are right.

4 friendly adult goats, 4 BABY GOATS BORN SEPT 2021! 6 free-ranging hens, 4 cartoonishly-cute ducks. It's a happy place!

The woods around us support several owls, Coopers hawks, some deer and an occasional red fox. There is a small nature trail that features several beautiful places to meditate by the babbling creek. Access to our neighborhood's recreation area as our guest to the swimming pool is available for an extra fee of $3/person (May-Oct).

(For the safety of our goats, your fur babies larger than 10lbs are not permitted. One of our goats lost an eye once to a dog, and she's never fully forgiven me. )

We have several housemates, so parking is limited to street parking (one vehicle for you).  Short 1 min walk to campsite.

Amenities on-site- Animal cuddling. Nature Trail. Wildlife Watching. Creek wading. Gardening help. Wi-Fi

Great stay, friendly host and nice private camp setting while also being close to town and amenities. The goat farm is a bonus, and family friendly!

Camping here and spending time with the baby goats was wonderful! The space provided was quiet and secluded. We couldn't even tell we were near downtown Atlanta.

Huge goat pen with 2 week old baby goats and several adult dwarf goats, all of which are very personable and affectionate. The chickens are much the same. We stayed near the pen (rooftop tent camping, camping area not accessible by car) and had no problems. Adam is super accommodating and willing to get in the goat pen and show you around and introduce you to the animals. It honestly just felt like being at a boarding house with all the different people, all of which are friendly and welcoming. Hard to beat running water and a flushing toilet when camping.

This farm setting is definitely unexpected, but we had a great time with the goats and chickens on the farm. Our tent was hidden among pine trees which made it pretty private despite the suburban setting.
The host was not on the grounds but was an excellent communicator throughout our stay.
All in all we had a good simple and quiet stay. And the kids had lots of fun with the animals!

Nice area and spot. Very friendly animal friends, goats, cat, ducks who like to say hello which makes things a lot of fun. Adam was a great host and very responsive, enjoyed my stay.

Adam was a friendly host who met us when we pulled up and introduced us to all of the adorable animals; horses, goats, hens and ducks. The hens were my favorite, so friendly!! I loved that we were allowed to go into their pens and feed them apple pieces. There was plenty of firewood provided which was a really nice touch. And Adam allows you to enter the house at any time to use the bathroom and keeps his phone on throughout the night in case you need him!
My nephew and I had fun, the camping spot itself wasn’t quite as secluded as we had imagined (could see the house from it and kids were jumping on the trampoline right next to our tent) but it was still nice being by a trickling creek and relaxing under the trees. There was loud construction taking place on the property when we were there, which woke us up early in the morning and made it hard to relax, but Adam was quick to apologize and told me he would reimburse me for that night. I think with a little work to make the spot slightly more secluded this would be perfect! There are other spots on the property too with some maintenance and mowing would be great and would offer more seclusion-all in all we had fun and appreciated the hospitality and loved the animals!

Thanks for the review, Jo! Glad you enjoyed the hens, they've been talking about you constantly since you left. Thanks for the constructive criticism, we're always looking for ways to improve. Our second, more-secluded spot for camping was unavailable during your stay because it was in use by our visiting stud goat, but he's gone now (and hopefully we'll have baby goats in 5 months!) While the construction double-booking was a fluke due to constant rescheduling by the bobcat, I'm sure you will enjoy our newly reconstructed riding arena on your next stay. As to the kids jumping on the trampoline, I'll have to do a better job herding our neighbor-kids, I had no idea that was happening. So again, thanks for your feedback, we look forward to having you back!
