Ross was a wonderful host! He met us at the gate and showed us to the spacious and level camp site. We then got a tour of all the new plantings, the land, and amenities if we needed them. Our site was peaceful and quiet, we took the dogs for a sunset walk and watched it set by the lake. Would love to see the progress and growth of the plantings in 3-5 years!

We absolutely loved our stay there. It’s everything you could want in a Hipcamp; it feels very remote yet your close enough to services and the beach! I hope I can make it back in a few years to see the progress on the food forest!!

Ross hasn’t updated the directions on here in a bit and has made a ton of improvements to his property so make sure to touch base with him about your arrival and where to park/meet him/setup camp. Gorgeous, peaceful place. We tent camped at the site next to the canal. Enjoyed the palms. Incredible star gazing, very dark sky the night we stayed. Ross is a warm and fascinating guy with an adorable pup. If you get a chance, it’s worth chatting with him about his goals for the food forest. He recommended a quiche spot nearby that we went to and highly recommend!

Very peaceful place. We wish Ross the best of luck in growing his edible forest and yoga retreat.
Ross gave a tour of his future food forest, it was really interesting. He has planted over 100 trees within a year, mostly indigenous plants and his dog is adorable, The project is worth supporting! The campsite is gravel parking with a mulch surround, not much shade. The irrigation stream behind the campsite has a lot of fish. We saw guar, a large turtle and lots of birds among other things. Follow Ross directions as google will take you to a large fruit farm. We had the whole site area to ourselves and it was very private and quiet.
Fantastic spot to camp and hang out with lots of space and cool plants. Be sure to take a tour with Ross- a five star host.

This gorgeous little piece of Florida scrub is perfect for a little boondocking. The location feels tucked-away, but it’s only ten minutes off 95. There’s a little creek to take in, as well as Ross’s new little lake. The hosts were really helpful and friendly. We’re looking forward to going back.
Ross’s place is a magical experience and perfect for anyone looking for a quiet place in a remote area of Florida which is very uncommon to find. He is very accommodating and an overall genuine human. Highly recommend.

Thank you Averi! You guys were great and I look forward to having you again some day.
Ross was a fantastic host with a beautiful property. We had an awesome time there. 5 stars!
