Our property, known as Blue Hill Acres, is located near Tower City, PA. It consists of 25 acres - a mix of forest, pastures, and wetlands, nestled in the ridge and valley mountains of central PA. We raise Meishan pigs, British White cattle, and have an assortment of other animals, such as horses, sheep, goats, chickens etc. The Wiconisco creek flows through our land, flanked by forest as well as grassy wetlands. This area is frequented by deer, geese, turkey, and other wildlifeWe have approximately 7 acres of our land open to tent camping. The land is a mix of forest and open land along the Wiconisco creek. Parking is available about 150 feet from the camping area. The camping area is nestled in amongst the predominantly maple forest, providing privacy and nature views. You can fish, wade, and search for treasures in the Wiconisco creek. The area is teeming with wildlife - deer, turkey, geese, and ducks are a common occurrence, and we’ve even seen the occasional bear! We are just minutes from the Greenland Tract of the Weiser state forest, state game lands 211, the Appalachian trail and Swatara State Park. For off road enthusiasts, we are located just minutes from the Rausch Creek offroad park, as well as the Famous Reading Outdoors riding area of nearly 1000 acres along Gold Mine Rd (membership required). We are located about 40 minutes from Hershey attractions, 45 minutes from Knoebels, and about an hour to Lancaster county Amish country.

Creekside Nest
I camped Scott’s land a few nights in July of 2023. I was actually his first camper. As such he did not have what one may consider traditional camp site amenities setup. I was well aware of the property situation prior to my reservation. I’m a seasoned camper, always come prepared and honestly looked forward to situation. Upon arrival Scott gave me a tour of the land. It is a large amount of acreage forest and clearings separated from farmland by a creek. It is easy to feel the isolation of the woods only a few feet from the creek. Ultimately I settled on an area around the bend from the bridge a close walk to the parking area. Despite a couple heavy, summer down pours the campsite survived the trip. And I was rewarded to some beautiful, (mostly)peaceful setting for a few days. I spent the whole trip onsite so I can’t speak to the surrounding areas. Scott was super accommodating and has the tools to help you with your site. For now I can really only recommend this site for experienced campers. I was able to setup my own site. If Scott decides to clear grass and build some fire pits. Than this would for sure be a great spot for many enthusiasts. At the time of this review a wonderful diamond in the rough.
