Jeff is a Star Host
Star Hosts are highly rated, responsive, and committed to providing incredible experiences.
Our farm is situated less than one mile from the centerline of totality, offering 68 beautiful and rolling acres of woodland and organic pasture on the outskirts of Bloomington, Indiana. Just an 11-minute drive from the center of downtown and Indiana University, our farm is conveniently located on the Karst Farm Greenway trail, and only 5 minutes from Interstate 69. In addition to hosting community gardens and private parties, we're excited to provide a place to celebrate the April 8, 2024 solar eclipse. We're located less than 1 km from the centerline, and we'll be hosting a free public gathering on Eclipse day. It's a near perfect spot to witness the eclipse, with big sky views and room to spread out. Bloomington is rich with musicianship, and our brilliant local players Atom Heart Mother will perform Pink Floyd’s "Dark Side of the Moon" in its entirety, starting at 11:30 AM on Monday. Don't be late for the show. Camping is available for those traveling in for the eclipse at a nominal fee of $25 per vehicle, whether it's a tent or RV. Please note that camping is primitive; we don’t have any hook-ups or services besides porta-johns. However, the area is beautiful, safe, and quiet. Services can be found in Ellettsville, just five minutes away, and Bloomington, just 10 minutes away. Join us for this once-in-a-lifetime eclipse experience. I think you'll be happy that you did. :-)

My son and I made a last minute decision to drive to view the eclipse on the line of totality. I found this campsite easily on the site and the location wasn't overcharging like many other locations. Check in was easy. Camping was divided up by tents and RVs with a good distribution. There were plenty of porto-potties although they needed to be monitored for toilet paper. There was a hand-washing station as well. Campers were quiet. The site in spots can get muddy if it rains. It is a farm field. The host helped some campers with their stuck vehicles. The day of the eclipse, the farm was open for people to enjoy. Host provided music and, surprise!, free pizza. We had a wonderful experience. We're sad we didn't get to enjoy the bonfire on Sunday evening because of the rain. The farm is very close to the lovely town of Bloomington should you need supplies or a good meal. Thank you so much for making this day an absolute wonderous experience.

Jeff was a fantastic host on his beautiful farm! Appreciated all he did to make the eclipse viewing special and provide the necessities for campers. Jeff was very welcoming and friendly and made an effort to connect with his guests. Was easy to get into town and explore the fine offerings of Bloomington as well. Would definitely camp there for a future event!

My love and I tent camped out here during the 4/8/24 eclipse. The land was cool and lots of people were there for the show. They had plenty of porter potties set up to accomodate everyone and had clearly just laid some fresh gravel down to keep up with the additional traffic on their road. Everything was recommendable...except the ticks. Would say it's better to be out here during winter when those little creepy vampires aren't swarming you. I mean at least a dozen on the tent at all times trying to come inside. To the hosts of this land: I'm so sorry you have to live with them!

We had an AMAZING time! Jeff is very friendly. His property is private and exactly what we wanted. We visited for the eclipse and even though there were many people we had plenty of room to feel comfortable. He had above and beyond staff, served coffee and had a band! It was such a great getaway.
