Welcome to High Hope Ranch, a sprawling 1000-acre sanctuary nestled atop the majestic Texas Hill Country. As you traverse the rolling hills, you'll be greeted by breathtaking vistas that stretch out to the north, offering sweeping views of The Great Plains beyond. Immerse yourself in the rich history and natural wonders of the ranch, where millions of years of geological evolution have left their mark. Explore the rugged terrain and discover prehistoric ravines carved by ancient oceans, adorned with fascinating oceanic fossils such as sand dollars, sea urchins, and ammonites. Our camping sites offer a primitive yet immersive experience, allowing you to connect with nature in its purest form. Pitch your tent amidst fields of vibrant bluebonnets in April, or revel in the splendor of the Milky Way under the October sky. For a truly enchanting experience, set up camp alongside the flowing creeks at sites like Uchawi, where the soothing sound of water creates a tranquil ambiance. Embark on an adventure along over 20 miles of hiking trails that wind through the ranch's diverse landscapes, offering endless opportunities for exploration and discovery. Be sure to schedule a visit to our working farm, where you can interact with friendly animals like pigs, goats, and Zoey the Donkey, gaining insight into sustainable farming practices and animal husbandry. Before you depart, don't forget to visit our Farm Store, where you can stock up on a variety of farm-fresh delights, including pasture-raised meats, canned goods, and freshly harvested produce grown right here on the ranch. At High Hope Ranch, we invite you to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and embrace the serenity and splendor of the Texas Hill Country. Whether you seek adventure, relaxation, or a deeper connection with nature, our ranch offers a sanctuary where dreams take flight and memories are made to last a lifetime. Welcome to High Hope Ranch, where the spirit of the land beckons you to explore, discover, and thrive.Pitch your tent anywhere on these 1000 acres! We have sites in the cedar forest near running water or sites out in pastures full of wildflowers. Its your pick. We have limited spaces with fire rings, we encourage you to bring a propane gas stove to cook on as ground fires are not always permitted!

Primitive Camping
High Hope Ranch was one of the best camp experiences that we’ve had. The hosts were awesome and knew the perfect spot for our group. We’ll be visiting again.

Wildflower haven
Wildflowers were outrageously beautiful and fragrant. Very peaceful environment and with nearby potable water and bathroom if you walk only 5-10 minutes from the farm house, was easy as a last minute reroute from cloudier areas for the eclipse. Hiking is fun and easy. Swimming hole at twin falls were a delight. Managers Brandi and Robert (I believe) were friendly and helpful. We didn't get to see the nearby endangered animal preserve or the standing stones because of our schedule but we'd like to come back.

Solar Eclipse Spectacular
BEAUTIFUL place to camp, the hosts were super accommodating and the facilities were awesome. We stayed one night for the solar eclipse, but we will definitely be back! Loved meeting the animals, loved meeting all of the wonderful people who make this place special. There are so many hiking trails to explore and we did as many as we could, but we will certainly be back for more!

Pigs, goats, and chickens roaming the fields. Hosts were great. The fields of bluebonnets were amazing! We would camp here again.
