Just a small piece of God's creation right on the Saluda River. Come and enjoy the solitude and serenity of this spot on the Saluda River, surrounded by thousands of acres of forests and farms. Camp on the river, in the field or overlook the river from the high bluff in the old growth forest. The gravel road going down to the river is finished, I drive my Honda Civic down daily and no issues (very low clearance). Kayaking from Holiday Dam to the camp site is incredible. The trip takes about 3.5 hours with lots of shoals and rapids. You can also kayak or tube from the camp site to Erwin Mill bridge in a little over an hour. This is more of a river float with just a couple rapids, but equally as beautiful.

Fun Spot on the River, Great Deal

We had a great time even for a single night! We chose a spot right by the river, which, while a little buggy, ended up being great for our group and had terrific access to the river. We brought our stand-up paddleboards with us and played in the water for a while. The water is great but does move a little quicker than you’d expect. Unless you’re a sulfuring paddler looking for a good workout, you’ll probably want to park a car down at the park and float all the way down. Firewood was available and the host was pleasant and helpful. Would absolutely come back again.

Serenity for sure!

Serenity was just that! Despite the expected rain, this was my favorite camping spot so far!! I loved it!

Beautiful river camping

I love the spot by the river with no light or noise pollution for star gazing. One bundle of wood is perfect for a night. Can't wait to come back at all different times of the year.

Serenity indeed

Had a solid weekend beside the water. We bought two things of firewood from John and they were huge bundles that lasted almost the entire weekend. Comfortable mix of feeling secluded and knowing there were people close if needed. Nice size, clean gas station less than 10 minutes away.
