Yaquina Bend Camp consists of 13 acres mixed terrain open grassland, douglas fir forest, and river beaches, Riverbend is a year round designated elk sanctuary with excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing. Stay in a Traditional Cherokee Teepee, a vintage WWII Tent, canvas yurt, or rent out all 4 spacious camp sites for special events. miles of walking trails, cornhole and horseshoes recreation area, and summer blackberry and apple harvest. Wilderness survival skills classes offered on weekends, contact host for details on learn how to 1. Build a wikiup natural shelter and a survival shelter from a tarp and three strings, 2. Knife skills and fire starting, 3. fire cooking techniques. Kids and or adults are welcome to attend. Yaquina River access with a swimming hole and 2 hour lazy river tube float loop. Gorgeous views of forested hills of the old cascades. Camp is 20 minutes from Newport, you can enjoy a day trip to the beach too! All sites are complete with a shelter, fire pit with grill, seats, and sleeping cots/pads. one extra tents aloud per site, maximum 1 car per booking. All supplies must be carried by hand or in a wagon up to 0.25 miles across a suspension bridge. Campers responsible for packing out everything they pack in.
