Our family farm has been the site of organic gardens, bees and a fruit orchard since 2002. Half of the five acres are wooded with a seasonal creek and frog pond. We have lots of deer and you wake up to birdsong. Nestled in an area full of wineries, waterfalls and nature , we are just 14 miles west from Eugene on the way to the Oregon coast just 40 miles away. We are one mile from the Oregon Country fair, an art and cultural event in July.

Hip Trips Forest camping

Easy SUV/ Car Camping

The Hip Trips space is great for tent or vehicle camping. It was easy to find and still felt secluded w nice gravel drive right to the campground space. I was able to drive our suv directly into the woods via short trail between the trees. I loved that since we sleep in our truck. Plenty of nice shaded flat grass covered space between the trees. You can tell they’ve put a lot of effort into clearing away any blackberries Rick and Tanya were very helpful and provided a fresh water hose in case I wanted to have a camp fire. There is a home on the land and a caretaker also on the property but the house is a fair distance though the trees and leaves the camp space feeling super private - completely surrounded by beautiful tall trees and grounds that are full of ferns and flowering grasses. The smell of the forest is delicious in that space. Another great feature is the proximity to the Oregon Country Fair - which is moments down the road - and then access to Veneta and Eugene is just a minute or two to the highway - & maybe 5-10 minute drive to Veneta - perhaps 20mim to the west side of Eugene where you have access to fantastic dining a some cool grocery stores. Florence is just 45 ish minutes west. The whole vibe was very high fom the tree tops to the floor - just super vital and healthy- with beautiful morning song birds, i heard owls and squirrels in the trees. Although infrequent, there was tiny bit hwy noise. 2 thumbs Up
