Enjoy this private five-acre forest open to only one group at a time! Choose your favorite spot to camp in a cleared area by the creek. This site is open for primitive camping only. There are no amenities available yet. Only 20 minutes to Asheville. Campers need to bring all necessary gear: Tent, Sleeping Bag, water, bug spray, etc. You must also pack out trash. I'm building a house up the hill from the camp site that is currently under construction. There is a tiny house on the property, currently unoccupied. It's not available to rent yet, but will soon be offered as an off grid option so there will be two groups camping at a time in the future. There's also a 20 foot shipping container under a car port that I use for storage. I don't live on site yet, but I stop by from time to time during daylight hours to work on the land when I can. Little Brook is a work in progress. Check back for updates.Enjoy this private five-acre forest currently open to only one group at a time! Please read full description as land is under construction. It's not available to rent yet, but will soon be offered as an off grid option so there will be two groups camping at a time in the future. I'm working on restoring the forest and planting a food forest in the area that was clear cut by the previous owners. I'm building a house in the middle of the property and construction is ongoing. Crews typically work in daylight hours on week days, but they may need to work weekends so the driveway up to the construction site needs to stay clear. For your safety the construction site is off limits, aside from the porta potty located next to the house under construction. I visit the land to work during daylight hours sometimes, but I'll be gone at night. Bears do visit the area so be careful how you store your food. There are also deer and wild turkeys along with various other wildlife that pass through the area. There's poison ivy in the forest. I do my best to keep it out of the cleared areas, but it loves to pop up so keep an eye out. There are two creeks that run through the property, both are around 3 feet wide and only inches deep. They make beautiful sounds. There is easy access from a country highway, but that also means you can't escape the sounds of cars passing. There's generally not much traffic at night, but if you need complete silence, this is not the spot for you. The gravel driveway is sloping and curvy. Because large construction vehicles are coming and going it's more bumpy that usual. If your vehicle has difficulty going over bumps or if you have a heavy vehicle without 4 wheel drive, you might want to find a site with easier access. You can park on any of the graveled areas. At the creekside campsite you can pitch your tent next to the stone fire ring by the creek or use the red block fire ring just behind it. This spot is in an open area that is visible from the main road. There is space enough for multiple tents. Because of the construction, the land is currently changing. I’ll try to keep the listing as up to date as possible. Please keep that in mind if booking far in advance. Rules: 1. Campfires only in designated fire rings. Always quench unattended fires. 2. Don't compost or leave food scraps anywhere on the property. 3. Out of respect for the neighbors, please keep loud noises to a minimum at night. 4. Scoop your pet's poop. I know there's a big forest with lots of animals that go there, but their waste is not the same as a domestic animal. To keep this site nice for future guests, please be courteous about your pet's waste.

Little Brook Creekside Campsite
Great spot!
We had a great time on Katie’s campsite! The bench swing by the fire pit was so nice, there was great space for our tent, and the work bench was super convenient to use. The directions were really helpful, and the drive to downtown wasn’t bad at all. The grocery store was also only a few minutes away which was super convenient.

Little Brook Creekside Campsite
This was a great camping spot! In a beautiful area not too far from town, parking right there by the site, has a fire pit and nice bench to sit on. Was only able to stay for one night but would definitely book again!
