This secluded and private 23 acre site is situated at the headwaters of Six Mile Creek in a scenic valley surrounded by Hammond Hill and Yellow Barn State Forests. The campsite is easily accessible from the driveway with opportunities for tent camping under the stars and luxurious cozy camping in a 30ft travel trailer. Travel trailer includes hot water for dishes and showers, propane stove for cooking, queen bed, bunk beds, and flushing toilet. Multiple trails throughout the property take you to a private pond to fish and lounge around, including shade trees with a hammock. There are extensive networks of trails within a 3-5 minute drive to Hammond Hill State Forest, as well as the Roy H Park Preserve with easy access trails to a swimming hole and small waterfall in a hemlock gorge. 10 minute drive to the town of Dryden for basic amenities and the best taqueria in Tompkins County. 15 minute drive to Cornell University campus. 20 minute drive to downtown Ithaca and Lake Cayuga. "Ithaca is Gorges" slogan means you can find over 100 waterfalls within an hour drive. This secluded and private 23 acre site is situated at the headwaters of Six Mile Creek in a scenic valley surrounded by Hammond Hill and Yellow Barn State Forests. Travel trailer includes hot water for dishes and showers, propane stove for cooking, queen bed, bunk beds, and flushing toilet. Multiple trails throughout the property take you to a private pond to fish and lounge around, including shade trees with a hammock. Park your car in the driveway and you'll have a short 200ft walk to the trailer. 1 queen bed comfortably sleeps 2 adults. Bunk beds comfortably sleep 1 adult each, or 2 kids each. Couch converts to a bed for a small adult or child. Dinette converts to a bed for a small adult or child. The trailer is relative new and lightly used, clean, and runs on propane and solar-electric battery. The battery provides power to interior trailer lights and the water pump for sink, flushing toilet, and shower. The propane provides power for the refrigerator, hot water, and stove-top cooking. There is an additional outdoor propane grill for cooking outside by the pavillion. The 24x24 pavillion provides a roof over both the trailer and the picnic table, both for shade and cover from the rain, not to mention a beautiful view of the valley. Additional tents can be set up adjacent to the trailer, where an expansive 200ft x 40ft flat mowed lawn provides room for additional tent camping, frisbees, campfires, and enjoying the sunset over west side of the valley. This 23 acre property is being managed for native plant and wildlife habitat, so trails are mowed throughout to maintain access around the many trees that we have planted to regenerate the native biodiversity on the landscape and provide habitat for various forms of wildlife. We hope you will feel the peacefulness of the valley, and enjoy both the privacy on site and proximity to the Ithaca area. One of my best experiences
This was my second time staying at James and Judi's camper. I had been here with my friends a few weeks ago and liked it so much that I decided to come again with my partner. There are so many thoughtful touches that it's hard to include everything in one review but I'll try. The camper is located at a great location - not too far away from the city but also secluded enough to have a peaceful stay. It's loaded with everything one could need - from utensils and toiletries to spices, flashlights, bug spray, and outdoor games. We enjoyed using the barbecue while lighting up a bonfire during the evenings. There is a tiki torch and some citronella candles that help in keeping insects away. There is a hammock, bunch of chairs, some tables, and other thoughtful outdoor-furniture around the camper where we loved breathing the fresh air and sipping coffee in the morning. Within a 1-2 minute walk, there is a small pond with a hammock and a bench on the side - we enjoyed a peaceful view of the mountains in the evening at this spot. There are small trails within the property that have been mowed. Within the camper, there are infinite number of small touches such as a Jackery, small usb fans, a fully loaded kitchen etc. Overall, there is nothing that the camper does not have. Oh and did I mention that the host is a complete gentleman? Thank you for a lovely stay, James. We'd love to visit again!

It was beautiful, the short walk through the wooded area to the pond was so pretty. You can watch beautiful sunsets from the camper. The camper was very clean and accommodating with pretty much everything you need. The owners were very nice and quick to respond to anything you might need. Pretty much just had to bring food and clothes and everything else was provided. Definitely will recommend and go back.

Our family planned this trip to spend time with our dog who was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. James and Judi were wonderful! The camper was set on a beautiful hillside and well equipped. We would definitely stay here again
