Primitive camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
This location is within walking distance of the Village of Saugerties. We have been Vandalized and Robbed. So the place is a mess, but we have to do something to raise money to fix the place. The area for camping is clear, but our driveway and lawns are not. So, if you can look past the mess, I can offer you over night accomedations. There are lots of restaurants in the area with good food. There is a Price Chopper down the street, if you just want to make your own something. You need a self contained camper for personal business as we have nothing here for that purpose. As time goes by we may install something but for now there is nothing. Also as time goes by the lawns will be cleaned up and you will be welcome to enjoy a lawn chair or two. If you need anything special in accomidations you have to let me know. Thanks a lot for helping out a old couple....We are an old couple, 69 and almost 76. We were recently robbed and vandalized. So we are trying to fix the property and home. To do this we have to raise money and get folks to help us. To do this we feel we can offer accomidations. We have have several spots you can use for your self contained camper, or your tent, or if you just need to park your car overnight. Each use will be a different fee so ask for the Discount. I will give it depending on the use you have. As to tents, You can pitch a tent on the high end of the property, and park on the driveway. Or you can park overnight on the low end of the property. Sadly to keep our house warm we gathered tons of pallets, so they and building materials are all over. But if you can get past all that we are good to go. As the months go by these items will be removed and the property will be restored to its wonderful grounds. There is tons of things to do in the general area. We have ice skating at the Town Park, Horses in the SUN, down the road. Fishing and swimming at the river. Walks in the woods. River padeling about 15 miles away, Skiing also about the same distance. We do have a dog, so I advise if you are afraid of dogs, please do not book.
