East Hill RV Site
A perfect 4-day weekend!!
We are from Virginia and, like most people who will read this review, we work hard, and our down time is precious and rare. When we decided that we wanted to take a trip up north to attempt to view the eclipse, we chose Amanda's RV site to use as our base camp.
Due to good directions and great communication with our host, we had no problems at all with finding the campsite and getting settled in. Because my wife has no internal thermostat, my first order of business was to build her a fire. When I say "first", I mean the next step after putting the truck in park! One of the reasons that we chose this camp was that firewood is provided. This is when we got our first glimpse of the thoughtful extra touches that are provided to the campers who choose this site. I won't elaborate because you just have to experience the excitement of discovering the many surprises you will find.
The campsite was perfect! The bathroom is as good, if not better, than a hotel bathroom! It was cold outside, so a clean, climate controlled bathroom with a hot shower was paradise!
I'm not trying to write a book, but it would take several pages to list all of the positives and if there were any negatives, they would be variables that are not controllable by the host. I'll just say that as you are looking at and comparing different options for your trip, if you prefer wooded sites and you enjoy privacy, away from the hustle and bustle, you can go ahead and end your search here. This is the one!
