Welcome to Linwood! A great base camp for all your Ozark adventures! Our 11 acre property is bordered on one side by Little Creek and it’s easy to find right off the state highway (no rough Ozark gravel roads!).
Expect starry skies, coyote and owl calls and an endless supply of stones to skip in the creek.
We are only 20 minutes from the famous Baker Creek Seed Store and Village. A small grocery store and gas stations are only 7 minutes away and lots of fun adventures within an hour’s drive.Reconnect with nature in our humble treehouse cabin. This thoughtfully curated space puts nature at the forefront. Enjoy a cozy covered porch for your morning coffee and the sound of the nearby creek to lull you to sleep. This is the perfect spot whether you need a base camp for your Ozark adventures, an artist's retreat free of distractions or just a place to relax and do nothing all weekend!
The cabin is 128sqft inside with an equal size deck outside. Inside you’ll find a full sized mattress, handmade table, 2 chairs, plenty of books, magazines and a few games. There is NO ELECTRICITY OR RUNNING WATER, but you’ll have battery powered lanterns and moonlight! We provide 3 gallons of purified drinking water. The deck has an outdoor kitchen with a camp stove, cooking utensils, plates, bowls, etc. We also provide a French press for coffee. The fire pit has a cooking grate and grilling utensils.
There is an outhouse with a composting toilet and rain water collected from the roof is connected to a foot powered pump for a handwashing sink.
There is no vehicle access to the treehouse. You will have to park about 300 feet away and climb up a steep set of stairs to reach it. We do provide a cart to help haul your belongings.
This cabin is located at the back of our 11-acre homestead. We live on site, but you’ll have your own private area. Our property is bordered on one side by a spring-fed creek. The treehouse is just a short walk from the creek and a large gravel bar. You are free to explore our property, but please respect our neighbors and stay within the boundary of our land. If you wish to play or walk in the creek then you’ll want to bring water shoes or old tennis shoes. The rocks can be sharp and very slick!
We allow pets, but NO CHILDREN (for safety reasons). We only allow 2 guests in the treehouse. If you have additional guests, we do allow for camping in the open field at the base of the treehouse. We currently only allow for 2 additional guests, but please contact us if you would like to bring more guests.
This is a wild space. You may encounter uneven terrain, ticks, spiders, venomous snakes, wasps and poison ivy.
