Our secluded property boasts a mile-long walking path where you can encounter a variety of wildlife, providing the perfect backdrop for outdoor exploration and adventure. Adjacent to numerous 4-wheeling trails and surrounded by public land, Camp Bear Paw offers endless opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. Relax and unwind by the campfire, complete with provided firewood, or grill up a delicious meal on the propane griddle, conveniently located on the covered porch of our main living space. Our cozy bunkhouse comfortably sleeps 4 guests, with the option for an additional 2 on the pull-out couch. For larger groups, there's ample space to set up air mattresses for extra sleeping accommodations. Explore nearby attractions such as the Hiawatha National Forest, Kitch-it-a-Kipi and Indian Lake, and Peninsula State Park. Don't forget to indulge in some delicious ice cream at Rapid River Dairy Flo! As night falls, gaze up at the star-filled sky and keep an eye out for the enchanting Northern Lights dancing above. Whether you're seeking outdoor adventure or peaceful relaxation, Camp Bear Paw offers the perfect retreat for your Upper Peninsula getaway. We can't wait to welcome you to our slice of wilderness paradise!Welcome to camp bear paw, an off-the-grid 25 foot x 25 foot bunk-house situated on 240 acres in Michigan’s upper peninsula! This secluded property has a walking path that is over a mile long where many wildlife can be seen! This property is near many 4-wheeling trails and is adjacent to public land. There is a picnic table available for use, as well as a fire pit (wood is provided). There is a covered porch on our main living space which will be available for guests to use. A propane griddle is also provided (propane is included). Next to the bunkhouse is an outhouse for your convenience! A five gallon drinking water container is located inside of the bunkhouse. If you anticipate using more than this, please plan to bring your own water. A hand pump is located outside as another water source. A outdoor camping shower will be provided if you would like to take a shower. The cabin comfortably sleeps 4, with the option of a pull out couch sleeping an additional 2 people. Of course, there is also room for guests to bring an air mattress if you need additional sleeping room. Propane heat is included. There is no air conditioning. There is no power to the bunkhouse, but there are battery powered lights for your convenience. Near by area attractions include the Hiawatha national forest, Kitch-iti-Kipi and Indian lake, and Peninsula state park to name a few. Stop by Rapid River Dairy Flo for some delicious ice cream! At night, imagine yourself sitting around a campfire looking at the nights’ sky for the northern lights! The possibilities are endless with this beautiful secluded property!
