This campground is secluded in the woods on our 17 acres. The access is along the edge of the field and opens into a clearing with picnic tables, water, and electricity. It offers a great place to get away and relax for couples or groups. Feel free to explore the woods or cook some tasty meals. For the Dutch oven experts, we have a fire spot with a swing hook!This is a private camp site that you will have full access to. The water, electric, picnic tables, and fire pits are all available to you. Feel free to explore the woods. Property lines will be marked. Grass lane to access the sites can get soft if we have had rain. You are welcome to drive or walk back to the site.

Griffs Knob Camp

Came 4 eclipse-will return 4 stars!

We initially chose this campsite as a prime spot for viewing the April 2024 eclipse, and it did not disappoint. However, it’s the mesmerizing night sky, ablaze with stars, that guarantees our return. Alison, our host, was exceptional in ensuring our stay was comfortable and memorable. The campsite strikes the perfect balance between seclusion and convenience - it feels like a true escape into nature, yet it’s reassuringly close to a quaint town. There, you’ll find a delightful breakfast spot and stores for any forgotten essentials. The campsite itself is everything an outdoor enthusiast could ask for: it’s wooded, level, and offers stunning views. And let’s not forget the charming four-legged neighbor who adds a touch of whimsy to the experience. But above all, it’s the stars that steal the show. Being able to see the constellations so easily made our stay truly unforgettable! We came for the eclipse, but we’ll be back for the stars.
